"WikiPlays"
I've just stumbled across the youtube channel "wikiplays". I believe that Wikipedia are turning their pages into youtube videos where all the information on the Wikipedia page is read out in a monotonous tone and with some pictures, for example Plainmoor

Somewhat Orwellian, deeply disturbing and makes me hope, more than ever, that Asimov's laws are, indeed, infallible.

Can't people f*cking actually READ nowadays and so have to consume information through narration and images? F*cking ridiculous! Give it 20 years and everyone will be automatons. If you can't live without a gadget for a couple of days and get withdrawal symptoms then i suggest you go back to basics, learn to read, write, spell, communicate verbally with other humans, find out what a f*cking pencil is YES A PENCIL. Ever heard of one? No, course not. You use your fingers nowadays so much that evolution dictates that in 100 years time humans will have fingers like f*cking E.T! Phone Home? You don't need to nowadays because you can just speak to your phone and ask it to ring somebody no doubt. Also whilst we're on the subject, that phone thingy you can buy where you can ask it things like "where am i meeting Mark?". JESUS F*CKING H CORBETT!! GIVE MARK A RING AND ASK HIM FFS!! COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER HUMANS PROPERLY!! We'll not have any bloody mouth parts in 100 years either and language will die. We'll look like balloons with eyes. EFFIN MADNESS!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Somewhat agree with both replies. As much as I am open arms to a new modern age of technology, it is stupid if people can't be bothered to read then they shouldn't have the privilege to listen to the information. Unless of course they're blind then well done Wikipedia :~D

That's quite cool! Obviously blind people would prefer their eyesight back but things like this can improve their lives no end. I honestly had no idea that these keyboards existed.

Haha it is indeed, not quite sure how they actually browse things on the computer but I think there's a narrative which reads everything on the page out for them, still leaves me with no idea how they click on anything but oh well.austrianandygull wrote:That's quite cool!
