now I appreciate I am normally negative but tomorrow I am unusually confident for some reason... does anyone else share my confidence or will there be another barrage of "ling out" or get some washed up player back i.e les afful status's on Wednesday?

Why should we be when our manager clearly isn't. ( read bbc sports website / league 2 torquay ). F*cking unbelievable!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I was a picture of positivity after our cracking performance at Burton and the fact we have Saah back, that was until half an hour ago when the manager of my club said we could be facing a releagtion battle and we should be looking over our shoulders very soon. For some strange reason all the positivity instantly left my body like a visit to the bog after reading that.

What he should REALLY be coming out with is.....................

LET'S BE HONEST, I'M MARTIN LING

3-1 the mighty Gulls though tomorrow, i'm sticking with it but i must be as deluded as Lingy! 8-]

There is different ways of looking at this. You have taken one viewpoint where as mine would be - "I am bloody glad he is aware of the fact we are being dragged into it and is not blissfully ignorant to this worry"

I considered that Rich but i took is as given that nobody in our league, not even Micky Adams nor Martin Allen would be stupid enough to not have a plan b incase a massive alarming slump in form occured and somewhere in the back of their minds they would be prepared for a battle should it have come to that.

Being dragged into a relegation battle on a run of form that he doesn't know how to arrest is not blissful but it is a worry and it is ignorant!

Having read the article I am at a loss to see where Ling states any negative feeling about tomorrow's match, where he states we're definitely going to lose, and where he states that we are definitely in a relegation scrap.

To me he sums up where we are at the moment pretty much bang on.

Once again it seems people who don't like Ling are twisting his words and using them as an excuse to beat him with.

Ben, i didn't mean that he was negative towards his approach to this game or that he had said anything about this game. My comments were more a dig at his negative comments after the Burton game instead of forgetting about it and saying something positive about this game instead of dwelling on talk of losing, relegation etc etc.

so smell my cheese you mother!!!

I'm not beating Ling with a stick made of words but if i were it would be a 50 foot high stick in a shed full of chickens.

I'm simply annoyed that he didn't need to say what he said. He could have used the media session to focus on the positives of the game we had just seen and give it large about the exeter game instead.
