Guilty until Proven Innocent

Hopefully all this will make you think, if not promote debate:
The USA has one of the highest prison populations in the world. The UK has the highest in Europe. (And 78 per cent of men in US prisons were raised by single mothers, but that's a separate subject)! A considerable number of innocent people are convicted and imprisoned in the USA, and this also happens in the UK.
Watch this:
And for every innocent person convicted, the real perpetrator remains still at large to commit further crimes. DNA testing has been available for a long time; it can prove innocence as well as determine guilt. You'd think the authorities would have an interest in establishing the truth, yet as often as not they put obstacles in the way of people trying to prove their innocence.
And worse, police can and do, early in an investigation, decide who is guilty, and then seek only that evidence which supports their erroneous decision. And when evidence does come to light which supports a defendant's case, prosecuting authorities can and do hide this evidence from defence lawyers.
We think this sort of thing only happens to someone else. And 99 per cent of the time it does. So we can ignore the issue, right? Yes you can ignore it, until you yourself are wrongly arrested, convicted and imprisoned.
You can ignore, too, what the feminist movement has been doing in the past thirty years. (I was going to put this paragraph on the 'Equal Rights' thread, but here it is)! It's not about equality of opportunity for women. Feminism is an extreme ideology based on false premises and carefully doctored 'evidence', promoting hatred of men and promulgating ideas and 'facts' which most people know, from their own life experience, are completely at odds with reality. Feminism is, as Erin Pizzey says and knows from personal experience, a terrorist organisation. Normal men and women get on with their lives perfectly well together. But not in the eyes of Feminism. Ignore such important issues at your peril!
