Anybody else watch that borefest that Milan have just produced. 11 men behind the ball 90% of the time, 1 dubious goal and another well-taken one. It frustrates me watching things like that, it's a bit like watching TUFC recently except we lose!

Chelsea are the same, they're the worst team to ever win the CL in my opinion, for the performances against Barca and Bayern last year. I know people will say it's worked for them, but it is just so mind-numbingly rubbish to watch!

Funnily enough i was just going to mention this Nick. ;-)

Totally agree with the Chelsea thing last season, obviously they had a game plan but they were pummeled against Barca and against Bayern but somehow found the results. I felt cheated watching last seasons CL final as it was one way traffic.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Don't have a problem with it, to be honest. Teams don't have an obligation to play the exact way that means they'll get hammered by Barcelona. I can enjoy a performance like Milan's just as much as I can if Barca had scored 5. And I thought they were a lot less boring than Chelsea.

You lot have to remember that for every time a team sets up very defensively and sneaks a 1-0 win there would be countless other examples where that team gets hit for several goals and ends up utterly embarrassed. It's the risk the manager takes.

I like different tactics and styles of play in different games. It's the main reason I think the Premier League is much, much better than La Liga in terms of entertainment value.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Chelsea had no choice last season, they were not as good as their opponents, identified this, and won. They thoroughly deserved to beat Barca, I dont remember much about the final, as was in Vegas, but I know they won. At times Chelsea played wonderful football last season, at others they set up to stay in the game. Good management IMO.
