Possible preferred opponents next season

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

We WILL be a league 2 club next season and if you want to post how pointless this thread is given nobody knows for sure yet what league we'll be in then please do so but you'll be the one doubting us not me. :~D

Therefore this thread IS relevant and i think, interesting.

Basically who do you want to be playing next season from all the clubs involved in promotion / relegation from L2,L1 and the conference?

I'd like Mansfield to get automatic from the conference as it's next door and Grimsby to go through the play offs as who doesn't love goin' to Cleggy!! :)

Down from L2 please Plymouth and Accrington so i can laugh at Plymouth and don't have to go to Accrington again.

Up from L2, Gillingham, as i don't have a choice they're up more or less, Cheltenham and Vale autos as i really don't want to go to Vale Park for a 4th time. Fleetwood to sneak in and go up via the play offs as it's a dump.

Down from L1, PLEASE PLEASE HARTLEPOOL!!! Can't wait to get back up there, such a laugh. Scunny as it's near, Bury as it's northern and Pompey as i want to see them drop until they fold completely and i've never been so would be good to go even though i've heard it's a poohole!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I would like as many Northern clubs to go up and as many southerly clubs to stay in L2.

Saves the club some money.

On a slightly more serious note than is strictly necessary, your scenario, Andy, represents the perfect nightmare for the club and the fans. This is precisely for the reasons suggested by our French brethren.

I'd like Dartford uo, but it certainly won't happen. Don't care about anyone else, although I'd quite like to see SG forced to pony up for a ticket at Pompey.

Matt.

Been to Fratton a number of times already, even managed to last a whole game once without "being asked" to leave ;-)

Chavs and Pikeys the lot of them. Always admired their devotion to the cause though ;-)

Agree with that Dave. They've certainly got some die hards and some 'characters' shall we say and i bet you know know most of them! Who is that bloke with all the pompey tattoos all over the shop with the trumpet?

Yep, know all the old-school lot, some of them almost intimately ;-)

Westwood = Muppet. When I went to the last derby match some of my Saints mates got hold of his mobile number and were singing "Who the f**k is laughing now" at the top of their voices down the phone. Quite funny listening to him on loudspeaker cursing them back.

I urge anyone who hasn't been to a Saints v Pompey derby to do so as it is one of the most passionate and hostile atmospheres you'll ever witness in this country.

The obvious one for me is Pompey as it's 20 miles down the coast from my folks so I can do my sonly duty *and* take in a Torquay match. Everyone's a winner!
