Has died of a stroke.
I don't wish to speak ill of the dead but i'm sure there will be a lot of people prepared to do that.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I doubt you'd have said that if you lived in a mining village.

well usa thats great.
but try telling that to the thousands and thousands of jobs that were culled that she oversaw because she had a particular gripe with
several people.
and of course sometimes she got others in to do her dirty work.

guess thats why he lives over there in the good ol u s of a
personally speaking i think she was a heinous woman, ripped the guts out of our once great country
we have nothing left since her, and her evil regime, all our great industry closed, our wonderful nationalised utilities sold off for someone elses great profit, huge swathes of the north of the country consigned to the dustbin
millions plunged into poverty, many millions more turned on to money, and caring little about what they did to others to get hold of it, and more and more of it
shes left us with nothing, coal finished, steel sold abroad, buses and trains likewise, gas and electricity in the hands of foreign shareholders.
they say she was the best pm we've had since churchill, if it wasnt for a war neither of them would be held in such high esteem.
personally i've been waiting for this day for ages, shame ive gotta go to work tomor or i'd be on the most massive piss up right now!!
gotta save it til friday night now!!

I think i'll refrain from posting a thread about which public figure / celebrity to we most want to die next. :rules:
It's a bit macabre and distasteful but there are some people who quite frankly i won't miss one iota.

If what she did was done with the best of intentions however difficult it was at the time then fair enough. Everyone has always got some sort of agenda.

A totally misguided, egotistical, divisive, power-crazy control freak who always thought she was always right; almost as bad as Tony Blair. And in no way does she deserve any kind of doting memorial. Shameful decision to give her what is tantamount to a state funeral, which sets a bad precedent.

One could, of course, argue that the incumbent before her, James Callaghan, had screwed the country and she was left with a battle on her hands.
I fully appreciate the battle with the miners and the hatred shown towards her, but surely that is not as bad as the "winter of discontent" that saw the decline of the Labour government, and the rise of the Tories.
