A Football Free Summer

With no football on offer this summer, what are you lot going to do sporting wise to pass it? How much does not having any football affect you and are you one of these people like me who count down the days until firstly, the fixtures come out and secondly, the start of the season comes around?

I will probably watch a bit of Derbyshire County Cricket Club live and go to horse racing meetings but as far as telly sport goes it will be just a bit of cricket and horse racing. I can't stand tennis.

Roll on August, whatever league we're in.

I might have a look at going to a couple of Somerset County T20 games. It looks a right laugh and I quite like T20 as it is.

I look on the summer as a welcome rest from Football.
Nothing to have to keep watching out for each week.
No stress of worrying whether we are going to win or lose. Get relagated ot win promotion.(although thats a nicer sort of stress.) just rest and relaxation hopefully this year for the first time with a nice long holiday. or even more than one..
No Matt. Not at her Majesties pleasure!

Football wise it's been a long and stressful season for us. A Summer without a major tournament is probably a good thing and a chance to indulge in a few of the various other sports on offer, before returning with renewed enthusiasm for the 2013/14 campaign

Speak for yourself. I have MLS awesomeness to watch. Gold Cup (which is fun but generally not as awesome), as well the various European Teams touring the US (which I don't like much but it is fun goading baseball fans that 'soccer' is taking over Yankee Stadium)

Summer tends to be quite a busy time for me so I don't tend to miss sports that much, especially in the last few years when I've not had much money to get to games during the season anyway. There's always a party to go to anyway!

Playing Cricket and hopefully watching a bit as well.
Also our kid has signed for a Rugby League club in Dublin so will be flying over to watch him at least once.
I don't understand people who want footy all year round, gets boring, need a break from it.

Ill be in Florida for 3 weeks from the middle of June so for me it's just a case of trying to pass the time and with no Torquay games to go too, I can finally save up some spending money.

Ill end up watching the play-offs throughout may to pass the time and look forward to hopefully another season as a league club.
