Brian McDermott to be appointed Leeds boss

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Will be Leeds boss tomorrow. Good result for Leeds this, a real decent bloke on the face of it and knows how to get ordinary teams promoted from the Championship so i feel dirty Leeds could be in for a great season next time. Everyone cry now. :'(
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I think they're at their level now Andy. They have had a succession of well respected and talented managers as well as a number of different squads and haven't managed to take the Division by storm. Sure, McDermott is a decent chap and knows one end of a team sheet from the other, but I'm not convinced he's so special that they'll be bothering the Premier League any time soon.

Matt.

Don't you mean Look West Yorkshire? :~D

Weatherman Paul Hudson is a bantam and so Bradford and other assorted destitute ex-mill towns get more airtime. :@

I mean what is there to say? Newsflash, today in west yorkshire it was cold wet and dark and depressing. The end.

Glad I haven't had time to watch the telly this week, the w@nkfest surrounding that filthy club every time ANYTHING happens there is embarrassing.
Did they have the usual '(dirty) L**ds United have new manager blah blah blah' crap followed by some interviews with some passing, one eyed twelve fingered inbreds passing that sh1te statue of (dirty) Bremner as the MAIN news item for ALL of Yorkshire? Followed by some action from a recent match? And an interview with the new incumbant? Taking at least half of the whole news up?

Second news item-somewhere else in (dirty)L**ds has been hit with an A bomb and its done £30 worth of damage.

Third news item cat stuck up a tree in (dirty) L**ds.

Fourth item. Some traffic lights changed in Beeston.

Nothing newsworthy happened anywhere else. :@

We all hate L**ds and L**ds and L**ds, L**ds and L**ds and L**ds and L**ds, L**ds and L**ds, L**ds, we all FOOKIN' HATE L**DS!

This is a good job for McDermott. He can either take them up and be a hero and hailed as a good manager and join the Premier League managerial merry-go-round where you are payed millions to work and millions more to leave work. Or he will get sacked once they realise they won't get promoted and the public can blame the trigger-happy owners rather than McDermott's own managerial ability.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

This is the biggest publicity driven appointment ever as the Leeds Rhinos Rugby League club head coach is-Brian McDermott! (Not the same one obviously) but it MUST have had some bearing on the appointment, as they will now be able to grab even more Look (dirty) L**Ds/YTV media attention. :slap:
