Player to bring in (suggestions)

We always have one about who we should and should not keep from our own team but I have seen a few other message boards that have one for players that are released from other clubs who they want to sign. A few clubs have already made there retained list. Made interesting reading.

Anyone want to start the ball rolling? (awaits sarcastic suggestions such as Messi etc)

Rendell would be a brilliant signing IMO. Benyon should be our main summer target!!

As I mentioned on a previous thread I would like the club to seriously consider making a move for Dorchester striker Kieffer Moore, young local lad with 10 times more potential than Karl Baker who was given a season to prove himself!

Benyon - Doesn't really need an explanation.
Marsh-Brown - Would be a good option on the wing if we lose Stevens/Macklin. Plus he was only released from Yeovil so I doubt location would be an issue.
Hyde - If Rene does leave Hyde would be adding another striker to the squad.
Amankwaah - Unhappy with Oastler so I think Amankwaah would be a good replacement.

Benyon-Rendell partnership up top would be most welcome should Howe leave.

Are Oxford in financial trouble? They have released a hell of a lot players:
McCormick
Batt
Duberry
Worley
Davis
Capaldi
Heslop
Leven
Parker
Craddock
Pittman
Richards

If Rene leaves, I would happily take Craddock!

Got to make some big cut backs there, few of them were on a wedge.

Well they underachieved yet again and will be desperate to go up next season-perhaps they are making room to spend money on the players necessary to finally get them up. McCormick back to the Gargs perhaps?

Worley, Heslop, Pittman, Davis, Batt all good players too. That's one hell of a clear out from Oxford.

When you see the quality players being released from other clubs, you struggle to see the argument for keeping any of our lot.

I reckon Wilder is going for an approach similar to Cheltenham now. Have a 18/20 man squad then fill it with loanees as and when.

Calvin Andrew released by Port Vale. Looked pretty handy at our place and if he can stay fit and improve on his work rate will defiantly score goals.

Just a shame that we massively messed Marvin Morgan about when he trialled with us years ago. Can't 100% remember if it was under Atkins in the relegation season, or Buckle in first conference season (gut feeling says Atkins) but there was definitely something online about how we brought him all the way down to play 10mins if a friendly, then said we were never in a position to offer anything (or something like that)
