The Football League

Well, what a fantastic league season!

I think this has been the best and most dramatic season in all three divisions.

Happy that the mighty Torquay United FC have retained league status.

Delighted that Mansfield are back in the league and that bixie, thebodin lover and myself have another local game!

A massive big up to David Flitcroft for keeping Barnsley FC in the championship today!

And welcome back Doncaster to the Championship following the dramatic finale to their game at Brenford - sorry Jane.........

All in all, a great season.

Up the Gulls!

Shame for Bobby Olejnik to see Peterborough go down, although their poor start of the season made things hard for them, especially with such a high points total for the bottom end teams this season.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

Yes, some superb drama including at Hull where they could have gone 3-1 up from a Meyler penalty in the last minute but he missed and then Cardiff went straight up the other end and also got a penalty which they scored leaving the Tigers to sweat on the Watford result who had a delayed game. Crazy!

Tykes stayed up and i'm glad for my pal Garthy who is an Oakwell lad. Wolves going down is f*cking hilarious, always a good laugh to see 'big' clubs who make shocking decisions get their comeuppance. Donny came back up but they are my home town club and as i despise my home town that means i'm gutted they did so. Trips to Scunny and Mansfield on the horizon for us and i'm rooting for Wrexham tomorrow.

Just sad that the season is over, ok so it's not for the Prem but i'm talking proper football here. God knows what i'm to do for 3 months!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
