Womens FA Cup Final

Hi guys. Just to say, Please give a big cheer and watch the girls of Bristol Bring some more pride to the South West as they take on Arsenal again in the FA Cup final at Doncasters Keepmoat stadium.
I have followed the fortunes of the ladies since the day they were formed as Bristol Rovers Ladies. The Rovers could not afford to keep paying for them so the Ladies went out on their own as Bristol Academy. They renamed themselves as Bristol Academy and as of the moment are the only womens team wholey supported by their own efforts. No sponsorship from any league team. They are known as the Vixens and have two really good Spanish strikers. They still have their roots as the Pirates and will always be associated with Rovers. They still play in Blue but the quarters have gone. with a touch of a red striped down the arm.
You may yet be surprised at the quality of football on display. But more than that. No one is a highly paid prima donna. yet! And money has yet to ruin the sport. Onward and upward as we say in Devon.
The match is live on BBC2 on Sunday around 2pm and is also on BBC2 HD

    :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Bristol v London and the best place they thought to hold it was Doncaster. Does no one at the FA have access to Google Maps? Hold it at Reading's ground (the one with the name I can't be bothered to spell at half four in the morning).

Matt.

Why is it that women's football, and women's sport in general, is usually far less boring than the men's...??

Damn right, you wouldn't catch me watching men's beach volleyball. Women's, on the other hand...

Not really watched Women's football before and it's really not bad. There are moments of awful football not good enough for Sunday League interlaced with moments of brilliance which wouldn't look out of place in a World Cup.

Some of them are quite fit too.

For the very same reasons that ALL the FA cup finals/League cup finals/International matches are held in London despite who's playing, and an all German Champions League final was held there too.
Common sense, thinking about the fans and the FA just don't go together, never have and never will do. :-/
