Thoughts? Any good or not? Potential?

Rumoured to be signing for us (Hereford) and looks like he is training with us currently. Heard he is pacy? (Is that all though?!!)

He's fast and can get down the wing quickly he'll do a job at BSP Level.

Modern attacking fullback. Didn't really feature much for us but the glimpses we saw at the back end of last season showed some pace and attacking flair, defensively okay too. I was quite impressed but three managers (one a crap interim coach!) thought otherwise and hardly gave him a game.
Personally I think he would do well for someone like you, really needs a run of first team games to prove himself...

Yep should be good for BSP level, i'd have been happy if we had kept him for cover at this level.

Exciting going forward but question marks over his attitude and commitment (especially in training). Also some issues on his positioning and reading of the game at times.

Was never really given a real chance and there must be reasons why because our first choice right back last year was pretty poor at times.

Could be a real gem but could also be a waste of talent.

Runs up and down all day, lacks any real quality on the ball but decent at defending.

BSP is his level. Potential to be a league player but a few years off at the moment.

Sounds like there is decent potential there, thanks.

Have to say, for the first time since Turner left, we have a proper manager (Martin Foyle) who has excellent man management skills and a track record of improving (young) players.

Fits into his criteria of being young with potential - all we can afford!!

As others have said, he's pacy and willing going forward. Positionally suspect though. Our 'first-choice' right-back last season wasn't great, but other than a very brief spell, DL wasn't able to take the shirt from him. Which probably says a lot. I think there is a player there though, so good luck to him (and you).

I quite liked Daniel Leadbitter and think with a bit more nurturing, he could have held his own in league two no probs.

However, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but it has been aluded to that he has a bit of a problem with his attitude / application. Billy big bollocks perhaps?

Anyway, lots of talent, just needs to get his head down and crack on with it.

Total stab in the dark but was it Danny L that got mugged in London meaning Joe got the shirt back as he wasnt allowed to play for a week or so?

No, that was Cruise and Nico got the spot back because of it.

Don't know about a mugging, but the comments about attitude/application in this thread and the Bodin one are interesting. There was a group in our squad last season (Macklin, Leadbitter, Bodin and Thompson) who seemingly spent more time pumping iron, buying new garishly coloured boots and posting on twitter, than doing anything that might actually benefit their football. Glad to see that group disbanded.

Of course I'm probably doing them all a huge dis-service, but it might explain their 'development' (or lack of it) over the course of 12/13.

Get used to the word 'nigga' being used on Twitter and give the local Nando's a ring. Forewarned is forearmed, and they'll definitely want to be forearmed.
He'll spend the majority of his time, as others have said, posting lyrics on Twitter and calling other people 'fam'. The local tattoo artist will also be in line for a new Ferrari . Oh, and between all this frippery, he'll run, everywhere and very quickly, but to no great effect.

If you can cure him of his childlike ills, you'll have a decent Conference player on your hands. If not, be prepared to pay him to bugger about.

Thoroughly nice chap though.

Matt.

Hereford being where it is geographically means fewer distractions and no Nando's!! As I say, Foyle is very good at nuturing the young lads, so hopefully it will rub off on Leadbitter.

From a playing point of view, we have low expectations these days, so if he puts the effort in like you say he does, then the end result will probably be irrelevant!!
