Men only..!!
Muirfield is one of the few remaining golf clubs which does not admit women members, though I understand women are allowed to play on the course! With the British Open Championship currently being played there, politicians are jumping up to be seen to be politically correct: Alex Salmond, David Cameron, Nick Clegg, all denouncing the club's men-only policy, and of course Harridan Harman calling for such policies to be banned.
Personally, I'm quite happy to mix with women in most sports and social situations, and for clubs to have women members. But, given my embarrassingly ugly physical appearance, I shy away from places like gyms and swimming pools, to avoid the inevitable scornful mocking remarks behind my back which I find usually emanate from the so-called fair sex.
And so, much as I love women, there are sometimes good reasons for men-only (and indeed women-only) activities, and society would perhaps be less critical if it understood the reasons for groups of one sex sometimes wanting to club together to the exclusion of the other.
A UKIP spokesman said that half of the single-sex golf clubs in the UK admit only female members. So, there are equal numbers of men-only and women-only golf clubs! Yet we never hear complaints about clubs having only women members. In my youth, Boy Scouts were for boys, and Girl Guides were for girls. But in recent years the Scout movement was brow-beaten into admitting girls, whereas the Guides of course continued to admit only girls as members.
I wonder of feminism had something to do with this! There are certain people, of whom we see many in public life, who have a lust for power and control. And many of these seem to be women who, along with some men, apply different standards when seeking to impose rules or laws over one group as opposed to another. Positive discrimination stinks, because the inevitable end result is the antithesis of egalitarianism, though that is perhaps a subject for a different discussion.
One of the tell-tale signs of the state of a democracy lies in the way it treats its minorities and gives some leeway to those who do not wish to follow the herd mentality. A decent society accepts diversity. A totalitarian state demands conformity.
With this in mind, I remain hopeful, but I can't say I'm particularly optimistic about the future.
How about you..??

I think, given your recent contributions to the forum, that you have an issue with women

Ha ha.. Not at all. I love 'em. But, having done a fair bit of research this year on the subject, I do have an issue with extreme radical feminism, which, most people do not realise, is nothing to do with equality, but is an evil man-hating ideology. Many women are beginning to realise this too, and you would be surprised at how many of them are active in the men's human rights movement. As for me, I'm unable to be active these days in any way at all, but will always speak out against evil, unfairness and injustice, and in favour of truth and egalitarianism.Scott Brehaut wrote:I think, given your recent contributions to the forum, that you have an issue with women

As soon as we ban women only gyms, we can ban men only golf courses. **** ing lesbians drive me nuts. Look, love, no one gives a **** about you or your massive hairy pussy. You get treated just the same as everyone else. The fact that you have a pair of revolting tits bolted to your chest makes **** all difference to the way you are viewed by the world, you simply aren't sufficiently important. If you think you get treated like shit, it's probably because you're an idiot and spending your free time banging on about "gender inequality" only reinforces this.

Matt that's funny! Not quite the way I would look at things but not a million miles away. Without wanting to offend further all i'd say on the matter is that if I had bigger mammaries than I do already and a vagina then i'd be a f*cking millionaire (ess)

Ok so i'm MASSIVELY generalising but to me if a woman gets money or gratuities just because of the way she looks / dresses / trots up and down jugs bouncing / gets mullered in a porno then she has stolen money and sold her soul. Sadly it's more and more prevalent in todays society. They know the value of sex and the fact men can't have it unless we pay for it or buy a doll and it's bribery. This I s what I don't like. In addition many men are so f*cking stupid it's untrue risking the decimation of their entire families just so they can dip their member into a warm slippery hole for a few minutes so it's not all one way in the insignificant brainless stakes.
Men v Women?
I prefer Cats v Tables.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

What about all the Women only courses like 'Lundin Ladies Golf Club' in Scotland? You don't see an uproar about that? Only 1% of all Golf Clubs in the country are 'single sex', there is an evident realisation that there is an equal share of single sex Golf courses, lets not go mental.

Well said.
And somebody should forward your post to Harridan Harman.
If it's OK for gyms to have women-only sessions to 'make women more comfortable', then it's fine for other organisations to have men-only activities for similar reasons.

You want to be treated equally? That's fine. Congratulations feminists, maternity leave is now a fortnight. Best of luck...

If that, I got 1 day off work authorised when mine was born. The rest I had to use holidays.ferrarilover wrote:You want to be treated equally? That's fine. Congratulations feminists, maternity leave is now a fortnight. Best of luck...

Also women only sessions at swimming pools. I wouldn't want to go to a men only session mind but that's not the point. :}
