Has anyone got this and if so can you use the keyboard to play it? I ask as I've never played a game on PC before and would like to buy it. Do I just load the disc and then it gets installed or do I have to load the disc each time I play like a playstation?

Cheers all.

The version I have got is through the 'Steam' program, which is basically a program you download that lets you buy and download various games to your PC (all legal, it's basically the future of gaming) without the need for a disc or suchlike. It installs them to your computer so that when you want to play it, you just open Steam, click on the game and you're away!

You generally use the mouse to navigate the (sometimes quite exhaustive) menus, but the keyboard is used occasionally, to type your name and to search player names and suchlike. I'd highly recommend the game, it's certainly not easy even for experienced players, but it offers an in-depth, absorbing (almost too absorbing) playing experience; the amount of detail and micromanagement you can go into is phenomenal, from talking to players after a poor performance, to hiring a director of football to conduct transfer business for you, to telling your holding midfielder who to try and pass to when he gets the ball.

Very good game. Search for the thread on the Popside as that could answer a few more of your questions! If I were you then I'd consider waiting for FM14 which will be out in a couple of months!

Thanks both. I'll take Nicks advice and wait for FM14 though as a lot of the reviews for the 13 game aren't great and recommend waiting anyway.
