Anyone had one and if so is it painful?

i know a few people that have had one. it can be ok or quite uncomfortable.

Yes indeed, preferably a bag of rainbow drops in one go, a bag of choc lick or a crushed bag of crisps down in one with a pint of Theakstons!

They spray your throat so it's numb before ramming the tube down there (it's somewhat nicer than that) - they can sedate you if you wish.

Procedure is over fairly quickly either way.

Andy at worst its uncomfortable. Try and relax. the scope itself is fairly narrow, so if you can do what the nurse says you will be fine.
