The ubiquitous cars thread.

That is to say, a thread about cars which IS ubiquitous rather than a thread about cars which ARE ubiquitous.
Following an "Ice-breaker" thread which veered so far off topic as to verge on the ridiculous, it was decided by Dave and I that this new thread should be created to allow 'car bores' to whinge on away from normal people (or, in Andy Gray parlance, to allow real men to talk about cars and the offside rule without interruption from women and gays.)
So, here it is, anything at all motor related can go here. Maybe if all first time posters in this thread could open with a brief description if their car, just for larks.
You're welcome.
Matt.

To apply my own recommendation:
Electric orange Ford Focus ST-3 with MANY go faster bits.

Except the ability to go into, through and out of corners FAST !!
Now, for really serious drivers, I give you a Brabus Vito. Proper RWD, more fun than anything else, not quick in comparison to some cars, but the only real alternative in the van market is a VW Sportline and this one blows them away.
It'll do me until I get my hands on a Sport X modified by Brabus.
PS. I'll move this to the Popside where it should be.

Van man me for donkeys years then switched over to estate cars.
Currently have an Astra estate that carries me and all the tools of my profession.
Apparently, back in my boy racer days, I owned an MGB Roadster that was previously owned by Robin Stubbs. If I'd known that before I sold it I wouldn't have.

Trojan 67 we are strangely entwined, as I drive a 03 plate Astra estate, cos it carries four cricket bags.
Other than that its just a car, a means for getting from A to B and nothing more.
People who drone on about cars usually need to get out and meet women!
absoultely right mick.........
ps didnt you like my 2007 silver audi A6 then??

You'd be surprised Dave, I've not got one, but a lot of the ST owners have fitted the Quaife LSD and it's meant to be epically good. Anyway, my Focus is quicker through bends than the S2000 simply because the S was, a bit like an old 911, always threatening to spit the driver and itself off the road, absolutely no warning whatsoever.
Anyway, you've got a van. As shown by Sabine Schmitz (*Googles spelling...
![Clap ](./images/smilies/clap.gif)
*), a racing driver in a van isn't as fast as a fat bloke in a diesel!
Beardy, what an absolute abortion of a post your first in this thread was
Matt.

Well I'll make you all jealous as I currently own a Daewoo Lanos Sport Edition which give it an extra 5 horsepower, given the loss of horsepower over the years I believe that it will now be left with about those 5 horsepowers. 0-60 in around 3 hours could easily beat an engineless Porsche.
