Hi!

I am a 17 year old Chesterfield season ticket holder and aspiring sports journalist. I went to yesterday's game at the Proact Stadium and thought you might be interested in reading my report of the game, as well as viewing a few photos too.

Thanks and good look for the rest of the season :)

Thanks for sharing that with us, didn't go, nor did I listen to the game on the radio, was in post N/shift slumber, so can't comment further on what you've written.

Thanks Ryan; fair enough ! You've got a few grammatical errors in there, but good luck with the reporting !

Is there any need to put that taxi lady. The boy has kindly put his view on here for us all to read, I didn't realise you had to have perfect English to come on here.

Think it's a fair comment for someone starting out blogging.
Thanks for sharing OP, good luck with promotion.

Ahahahaja, there's always one **** idiot who jumps in with both feet whenever a poster mentions grammar.

Pringle, you **** nugget, this kid wants to be a journo. If he hands in copy with "speeling and grammer" errors, he will be laughed at and will stop getting work (unless he writes for the Guardian, who don't care). A gentle nudge towards a second proofread is perfectly acceptable and, in fact, a decent thing for Nina to have done.

Matt.

Oh hello think you lot mention grammar, its not an issue with me pal.

You seem to have a bad opinion about quite a lot on here, who don't agree with you, so tell me what you know then Matt?

Don't worry about Matt, he's sometimes OTT with his comments, but he was just trying to be helpful in his own pestilential way. I've just read your report and it's a pretty decent one; I've read much worse grammatically incorrect work in my time, even in the newspapers.

Everybody thinks they can write, but as in any other field of life if you want to rise to the top you need to study your subject, not necessarily in a formal academic way, though that will certainly help, but read and analyse the work of other top writers and above all practise. The more you read and study and write the better at it you will become. Even my own writing, I must admit, could be improved, and certainly Matt's... :~D

I've not even said anything about the kid's bloody writing. How has this turned into this?

By the way, I have a feeling that 'How has this turned into this?' is somehow incorrect, grammatically or otherwise, whilst at the same time being absolutely spot-on. Funny old thing, the English language..

I think we all know now not to argue with Matt. You can feel his annoyance through his words haha. Just leave it guys, neither of you will win. Any grammatical errors here? ;-)
