Enoch Showunmi

Unless I am mistaken his loan period will expire on 31st March.

Despite his obvious shortcomings (discounting his height!), if we do not extend this loan, or bring in another loanee before the window closes on Thursday, who would you want to see play as first choice strikers for the rest of the season.

Benyon? .......lots of running and falling over, can poach IF he can jump to his feet and get into the 6 yard box in time to pounce on a loose ball.
Stockley?.......not bad in the air, not the quickest, strong in protecting the ball, target man for hoof ball, can he score regularly?
Yeoman?........keen, reasonable skills, looks to have ability and inclination to shoot from more than 3 yards, possibly best scoring option if given run in the team.
Sullivan?........difficult to pass informed comment as not seen much of him. Still remember him putting the Yeovil keeper on his arse in a friendly.
Hawley?.........not too bad at holding up the ball, can he shoot ???

The one area that stands out is ..HEIGHT, other than Stockley we do not have any.

My suggestion would be Stockley and Yeoman, with Benyon first reserve, Sullivan second reserve and Hawley if necessary.

I think Enoch has brought far more than just a massive frame, awkward first touch and determination in his play to the side

He is an absolute leader in attack. both our recent home wins saw Enoch encouraging the younger players, motivating and at times putting an arm around them when they needed it.

With such an in-ept captain that is something we have been missing. It will be a shame if he returns to Notts County, he would be first on my team sheet

Really don't get the obsession with Yeoman. He was welcomed like the messiah when he came on when Stockley would have been a much better replacement for Enoch as we continued to lump long ball after long ball up front.

3 managers haven't seen enough of him to persuade them to give him a starting place and he didn't exactly set Dorchester alight.

I realise this won't be a popular opinion as he does seem to be everyone's favourite player at the moment.

Will he do a job in the conference? Maybe.

Looking at the list of attacking options shows how doomed we are and how shafted us fans have been this season.

Enoch makes a difference just by being there. The opposition has to often spare two defenders on him. The only way our strike force will have a similar effect is to put 3 up front..

Awful player. Don't get the hype. Always looks so disorientated.

:goodpost:  :goodpost:  he has some talent, and no doubt he's got something, but I've said the exact same thing about 3 managers

He might run around a lot, be a nice bloke, good for morale, a better captain the Mansell however he can't jump and so far he can't score.

Send him back ASAP!

Christ, we got some crap strikers!

A team is only as good as it's strike force, that's why we are bottom of the Football league!
