And the hits just keep on coming.
I know we're strapped for cash, but i'd like to think someone at the club is aware that we will need some players to complete our fixtures this season.

So the squad size is just 18 now, meaning we can just about field an XI plus a full bench - but not on Tuesday cos Zebs is suspended. I suppose we have Palmer and Yeoman but surely its better for them to be going out on loan again somewhere to get experience of mens football? It really is too small a squad to seriously sustain any sort of promotion challenge though.

Why???
Zebs is banned for tomorrow, so unless I'm mistaken, we currently can't field a full squad without dipping into the youth players. Well at least there's five hours left, so plenty of time for a replacement to come in...

Not a lot of point keeping a loan player here if you are not going to use him,to be honest i do not know what happened i always thought Rose was the better player anyway.
Maybe it is a case of Buckle thinking that Halpin is ready ,or the fact that is only the transfer window that close's today, and Buckle may well be clearing the decks for a better quailty of loan player to come in,pretty sure the board and manager are aware that our squad is to thin.

Bit indifferent about this to be honest.
Had some flashes of brilliance, particularly away at Wycombe and Stockport, and looked a bit of a muzzy in the making. But in the flipside he had some utter mares too - couldn't control or pass on his debut at Gillingham, and then had an anonymous half hour at Morecambe before he dangled a leg out and cost us a point.
The main problem is that he struggled to last longer than an hour. Considering O'kane also suffers from this affliction it leaves us somewhat limited in what tactical changes we could have made. Of course the worst thing was that seeing as Stevens is similarly affected, Hemmings was one of the "guaranteed" subs (along with Kee and Oastler) we are going to make every game. Buckle must be expecting a lot from Halpin, otherwise we have no impact coming from the bench.
For the second year in a row, Bucks is playing a bit of a cagey/risky* game at this time of year. Hemmings out, joining Senda, Carlisle, Rose and Gritton throught the exit leaves the squad looking distinctly threadbare. I read somewhere in the week that we have used the least number of players in the division which says we have been lucky with injuries. But if that luck changes we could be seriously bitten on the ar5e.
At least the loan window isn't shut yet, but a revolving door of loan players does nothing for the long term stability of the club.

So, is Bucks looking to bring in some players before the end of the transfer window or is he praying that no one gets injured or suspended.
I really hope its the former as 18 players in a squad in my mind is not enough.
Wasn't too sure about Hemmings, I thought he was ok the one time I saw him play (can't remember which game) but of course, I will have to take other peoples opinion on him for those who've seen him play on a regular basis.
Only time will tell.

Ok, second time lucky, iPhone doesn't wanna post.
I'm not massively bothered by his departure. He offered an option of outright pace, with little end product, as opposed to Danny, who offers some pace and erratic end product.
He started off as most loanees, blisteringly good, soon got bored with trying his balls off. Probably gave up in training, dropped by Bucks, sent home. One day, It'll be our turn to get a Davide Somma for a season, he'll score 175 goals and we'll go up. Until that day arrives, we'll have to put up with promising youngsters who won't ever really amount to anything.

So in the last few weeks we've lost the following attacking talent - Carlisle, Rose, Gritton and Hemmings. And who has come in to fill those places...? How can a club with the squad the size of ours, lose nearly half it's attacking threat and maintain performances?

We big them up one minute, and then drop them and send them home the next.

Why is everyone hitting the panic button?
Things will look totally different in a short while.

I'm not panicing Dave, but why have we left it till the transfer window is 99.45% shut before we make any moves? (4 hours remain from 744 available)
