On Sunday Nigel Clough's Sheffield United could become the first League One side to reach the FA Cup Final. No side outside the top two divisions has ever achieved this, so I for one am looking forward to the making of some football history. Clough has made excellent progress at Sheffield United since moving there from Derby County, indeed since beginning his first managerial job at Burton Albion. Obviously a chip off the old block..

Never mind that!, i'm off to wembley later to watch the mighty Wigan! Third wembley trip in a year and getting expensive but always get drama when Wigan are concerned,

Back to your point though - i really am rooting for Sheffield as i'm sure most neutrals are , but on the big pitch against premier league opposition will be tough over 90 mins and Bruce knows what he's doing and will play full team - but fingers crossed!

All for a Wigan V Blades final haha

That is not true, you've been listening to radio pig (aka Sheffield). They've been bleating this rubbish all week.

Tottenham Hotspur WON the FA Cup in 1901 as a NON LEAGUE side. The irony? They beat the Pigs (that's Sheffield United to you) in the final. :-/

Well spotted! However, that doesn't count! I'm talking about modern football history, not medieval times.. Were you at that final? Obviously before my time, but not yours.. =D

Contrary to popular belief, football was not invented by Sky in 1993 :-/

Must have been exciting times back in 1901, watching the development of the modern game. Only 32 clubs in the whole Football League, and most of the rest of the country being amateur or semi-pro non-league. The Gulls at that time were playing at the Recreation Ground in the East Devon League, travelling to away games in horse-drawn coaches, and Torquay Athletic were playing rugby at Plainmoor..!!

Well, Hull City have made it to their first ever FA Cup Final. I wish them well. I can just about remember the days when we were playing them in the old Third Division (now League One). Now they're in the Premier League. How times change..!!
