We're playing Shrewsbury in March so he could be referring to that instead.

A full month? They're really spoiling us...

One minute you're moaning at the lack of any activity and now you're berating any and all signings, Benyon has gone, time to move on and welcome new players.

He is on loan for the rest of the season, and will be playing against his old club.

Hence, see you in a month.

Simples.

I'm entitled to be frustrated Dave. I rated Benyon (probably more than you), so am more annoyed at his departure. He's evidently been sold for less than he's worth, and is being replaced by loanee's who, with the best will in the world, will not put in the effort Elliot did every week. I'm feeling pretty deflated about the whole situation, especially after the weekend we've just had.

It's coming to something when a cheese eating surrender monkey has to explain a tweet made in English.

Matt.

I understand how you feel about Benyon, but surely you can show some enthusiasm for new signings?

And I might have taken longer than you to see his real potential, but I could also see his flaws which were there for all to see on Saturday, despite the effort he put in.

Of course he had flaws - he's a lower league striker. But he was still better than the vast majority i've seen at Plainmoor in my time. Goalscorers aren't easy to find, and he was an excellent one. To get mugged for his services is a bit galling.

As for the signings - they are loans. And by their very nature, they will likely put a shift in for a few weeks then disappear. I hope they prove me wrong, but i'm afraid our team will be weaker tomorrow night than it would have been with Benyon up front. Sometimes the decisions made at the club baffle me.
