I regularly watch BBC Songs of Praise and today Thea Bristow made an appearance in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the National Lottery.
She refers to some of her charitable donations and the cameras visit Plainmoor to see the Bristow Bench. The programme can be seen on BBC iPlayer and for those not wishing to view the whole episode, the feature commences at 25:37 minutes and continues until 28:50.
She mentions the purchase of some woodlands and as I no longer live in Torbay I shall be pleased if someone will advise me where these woods are?

It was big enough local news to make the HE, so I suspect Google will have a record of the location, if you get no joy elsewhere.
Matt.

I may be wrong, but I believe the woods are on the ridge behind The Willows estate, around the junction of St Marychurch Road and Orestone Lane.

Never seen Thea speak before or knew much about her. Seriously decent and nice lady. We are very lucky!

This thread is about Thea Bristow, rather than about Songs of Praise, so could we perhaps combine this with the other recent Thea Bristow thread?

The uplifting thing is that she is in it for exactly the right reasons. Look at other clubs especially Premier where its about making money, status, God knows what. We have had the same with Roberts.
She might make mistakes, and probably will, but I for one WILL NOT make an issue out of it, because I know se has the clubs interest at heart, and for me that's what I want to see from an owner.
