Okay, so I know most of you will snigger at this, but living in the States I've wanted to watch some real football. But I wanted to actually support a team, rather than just find a team to watch. If that makes any sense. So I wrote this:
http://www.matchfitusa.com/2011/01/choo ... -team.html
I've been getting an absolute pasting over this, including one person saying that i was a "cynical" football supporter. Er, hello? Torquay United?

Nice one Chris
Cant believe you said

Come on, though. much as we all love torquay united, none of us would be blinkered enough to say that we've ever been a truly good team. maybe for one season but even then, that was only in League 2.
good grief, that's half the fun

Yeah but you can still be a good team without winnning anything on a regular basis. Arsenal for instance?

I've also started an English League Digest at World Soccer Reader. initially it's a review of the weekend's action but depending on time I hope to do previews and spotlights on individual lower league clubs.
