What's everyone's view on Robbie Herrera being named assistant manager?

Initial disappointment but let's get behind him, cheap local and Torquay connections. Good luck to him I say.

Can't think of any other management duo that were both left backs

Welcome back Robbie.
Maybe a cheap option but that doesn't mean it's a bad choice. Somebody local with the club at heart. That's fine by me.

Like Nico - let's give the guy a chance before judging him.

Local, club at heart, knows the young players. I imagine Lavercombe, Odofin, Chaney, Prynn and Yeoman ar happy to see someone who know's them and their abilities back at the club.
Another piece in the jigsaw, onwards we march.

I'm rather underwhelmed to be honest. But as others have said, he is local and has been connected with the club for many years so will be well aware of the difficulties the club is in. Let's give him a chance and get behind him. He's thrown his hat into the ring so he must be confident he can do the job. Good luck to him and KN.

I think this is a really good move for Torquay. Like others have mentioned, he knows the club inside out, and has developed a lot of the youngsters in the squad. He is player/assistant manager, so we got plenty of backup at left back!

He is 45 so I think you may be wide of the mark on that one!

The player/assistant manager comment was clearly a joke! Still, we could do worse!
Added in 22 minutes 44 seconds:
Ive just seen that Robbie won't be on the sidelines tonight? He starts on Monday?

Probably starts on the day that Kenny leaves.
