How to celebrate 1000 post status....

Post by Wisconsin_gull »

Just looked in awe at Trojan 67's 958 posts!
I am sure it was a couple of hundred a few weeks back...
Do we have any celebrations/awards planned for the 1000 post milestone which could occur by this weekend?
At the kerb halt - look right - look left -look right again - if all clear quick march!

Most of those posts were to say "Brb, need to pee"

I wont say I haven't noticed because I have. Before the old site crashed there were several members including SG and Westbay whose post count were in the many thousands. Me reaching one thousand then is meaningless and unworthy of celebration. It's not the quantity that counts, it's the quality.

The main reason why there will be no celebration is because 99.9% of my posts have been utter b*llocks.

A wise Chinaman said,"The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step."

Trojan 67 says, "Life as a Torquay Fans.com poster starts with the first post."

Bloody hell Trojan! haha.

Fair play without people like you the site wouldn't be as good. Thanks for your input! :)

If only we didn't have to start again post counts would be more accurate but I guess new name new start on everything, if we start bringing old stuff to a new site the site is no longer new...

Oh all right then, I'll put number 1000 on here seeing as Wisconsin started a thread for it.

To me it's just another post, to you it's just another meaningless one. What matters to the site is that readers of the forum join as members and contribute by posting. What makes this site what it is, is what posters bring to it with their own inimitable individual style. Long may that continue.

I didn't realise I was anywhere near that mark till I saw your post. Mine must have crept up due to all the postings I make on the 2 Admin Boards most members can't see, it's been a busy time of late.

Oh well, that's two of us there or is it three? Jane is usually way ahead of anyone else
