Pitch Update

Post by A Candy »

I have just been up to Plainmoor and spent a while talking to Scott the Head Groundsman. For those of you thinking about travelling I can say with confidence that the game will be on. The pitch is in good condition,no puddling and very few "soft" spots. Scott is not concerned. The sun is shining and the sky is blue so unless this changes dramatically there should not be a problem. No further rain is forceast. I hope this helps for anyone who was in two minds whether to travel.

Thanks for this Andrew. I was never in doubt but we need as many of the long-distance fans as possible to attend today so this is useful info

Thanks Modgull, that was my thinking as well. We need both the financial and vocal support today and for every home game.

Many thanks for this vital info andrew, just come off n/shift me and a couple of other fans who are going today were very much in doubt about this game as it has rained non-stop until about 5am.

Once again i think its hats off to Scott, this guy is a miracle worker.

Nice work Mr Candy, irrespective of your father's profession....

We were at Westhill together, same year different set. You in X, me in Y. See anything of Robbie Loxton and Andrew Hanbury these days ? The poster name will give you the clue to my identity. Remember Tony Phillips ? I stand near to Tony on the Popside and sometimes have a pint with him in the Union after the game.

Good to see you back on the site Andy. :-D

Hi Trojan
I don't want to abuse this site by making it a trip down Memory Lane but its good to hear from you but despite the clues I am still not sure of your identity. I saw Robbie Loxton a few years ago but haven't seen Andrew for decades. Of course his brother has the chip shop/restaurant in Babbacombe etc etc. I see Tony from time to time in the distance but I don't think he would recognise me now after all these years. Its good to know that some of the pupils in our year have survived!
Enjoy the game today.

Nor is he, that's why he's talking to you.

Or

Monday 0900 - Friday 1700, he is known as Trojan67
All other times, they call him Brunhilda and he spends his time working as a dominatrix at a neo-Nazi club in Dawlish.

See you at the match, Brunnie.

Matt.
