The Spotty Mob

Post by wivelgull »

The Spotty Mob (half a dozen of them) invaded the Senile Delinquents section of the Popside last night (half-way line, at the back). Actually they weren't as bad as some make out. There was some silly pushing and shoving and shouts of 'school tomorrow!', but their attempts at shouting and chanting were pretty half-hearted and they were outsung and outchanted by the sex- and septagenarians who populate the back of the Popside. I was surprised to see the gate as there hasn't been such a squash in the senile delinquent section for years, but then perhaps it was just the Spotty Mob!

I stand at the back on the half way line, just across the steps from the yellow army, saw the lads you were on about, they were singing popside songs about 6-8 years out of date, yep real loyal fans , have not seen them on the popside all season, and as you say didn't take long for them to be out sung.

Two of group were the one's that ran on the pitch, thanks for that, our club could get fined, so if your reading this don't come back, we need new supporters, but no need for you to apply.

What got me then ,was the 100,000 stewards on duty and not one of then seemed to know what to do, finaly one shall we say to be polite older slighty rotund steward, came on a won this seasons comedy award with his attempt to catch the lad.

You hit the nail on the head there forever with rgeards the stewards. At the Crewe game there were about 3 morons who ran onto the pitch yet the stewards who were on the touchline did nothing to stop them, they should have tackled them as soon as they got on the pitch, would have made the pitch invaders look like the attention seeking idiots that they are and would have taught them a lesson.

By the way, cracking atmosphere last night, you wouldn't think it was us that were losing from the way you guys were singing, you could really here the noise on the TV. Kudos.
