Thing is, Andy, it's the Torquay programme, I want Torquay related content. If I'm honest, I don't give a shit about the history of the Accrington Stanley second choice left back. I'd rather we had (as we have now) that space dedicated to TUFC related stuff. Equally, I love that it's many little articles, rather than a few long, laborious pieces in microscopic typeset offering endless anorak level information about very, very boring nonsense. Since the revamp, I've read almost all of our programmes cover to cover.
As for adverts, there are some, but (in the last one of the season, which I have to hand), there are 15 adverts. 2 are NPower (which will be compulsory), one is the FL (comp), one is Capital One (comp), one is Football Foundation (comp), one is the police (comp), one is Subway (national), four are in connection with much larger sponsorship packages, one is for a TUFC event and only the remaining couple are proper, bespoke, avoidable advertisements. They're all on the same side, so it's very easy to ignore them.
I believe also someone mentioned earlier that TQ1 was not immediately identifiable as the TUFC programme. As it happens, writ large on the cover is, "Torquay United's Official Match Day Programme".
I love how it is now and will happily reiterate that, for me, it's the best programme I've seen.
Matt.
