Kevin Hill

Post by RN Gull »

From the Western Morning News web site:

"Tiverton Town have put experienced midfielder Kevin Hill in caretaker charge of first-team affairs at the Devon non-League club, following the departure of manager Mark Saunders and assistant boss Hedley Steele.
Hill has been on the playing staff at Ladysmead since September 2010. The Exeter-born 37-year-old made his name as a player with Torquay United, for whom he made 417 Football League appearances between 1997 and 2008.
Saunders and Steele stepped down after Tuesday's 2-1 Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West home defeat to North Leigh."

Would anyone be disappointed if he was signed until the end of the season?

If only we had an Ex-Gull Watch thread

Regardless, glad to see Hilly doing well. One of the nicest people I've ever met and certainly deserves to be successful. I'm not sure what his wife does for a living though...

Matt, you're unbelievable.

I concur with the sentiments regarding Hilly. I was only lucky enough to see him on a handful of occasions but he was a superb player for us and hope he is doing well in whatever he does in the future.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

And a caretaker Kevin Hill is, just for a couple of games, Kevin has said he does not want to manage Tiverton full time as he still has a couple of years playing left....that's the spirit!
