Considering 5 of our last 8 games are home, certainly not a good thing. Still, time to change that!OllieGull wrote:Anyone noticed under Knill we've lost all matches at home, but unbeaten away? Don't know whether that's a good or bad thing
Good point Nick. I suppose away points are always seen as 'bonus' when it comes to relegation scraps. We just need to sort our home form out!
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Maybe it is because there are more people at home matches getting on the players backs?OllieGull wrote:Anyone noticed under Knill we've lost all matches at home, but unbeaten away? Don't know whether that's a good or bad thing

We needed that, to prove that we can also fight and nick unexpected points...So close, if we had have lost and sunk to bottom, I reacon that would have 'done us in'.

Great point. IF, and its a big IF, we can beat York and Barnet, I think we'll stay up.
When is the loan deadline? Still think we need a striker, but we are now hard to beat, have scored a few goals, and the players should have regained their confidence with two away points from behind. Bodin is starting to sound like a player again, shame he's out for two games. Big chance for Stevens or another to make themself a hero. Chappell sounded good, Labadie seems to be a winner. Alan Knill might slowly be showing what the Bury fan said he eould. We are attacking rather than negative, and that is very positive. I saw no way out, now there is a chink of light. Never seen a bottom of the table this tight ever.

By the sounds of it Dutch me old mate, no. However no one can argue over the course of the season he has been one, if not our best player.
Downes or Oastler, Downes yes please, Oastler I will drive him to Ebbsfleet myself and give him to them for nowt.

Good result today. All to play for now. Perm any two from six to go down. We must beat at least York and Barnet at home.
We shouldn't count on it, but it could come down to goal difference at the end. Us and Argyle currently have the best goal differences.
COYG....!!!

Just back.
Good result. Deserved the draw.
Having been to Dagenham and Southend we don't look like a relegation team.

Haven't been online all day, listened to it on the radio though and I think this is a great result, however I think Southend were there for the taking! They've been very shaky with results lately and it really sounded like we gave it a good go. Being joint bottom is dreadful, but for the first time in ages I have just a little more confidence. For the next few games though, we really need to get three points. Results didn't go our way today, un point every game isn't going to keep us up! We need three points!! COME ON TORQUAY!! Let's strive from this!

great result, what we need is for the crowd to get behind the team at home, really make some noise, if anyone is intrested then look up pompey fans on you tube, i know they are a big club but even with all the problems they have had they still get behind there team, see how it should be done, well done the lads today.

Yes great result to come back when we were on the bottom of the league so early in the game. But we have to start winning matches or we are down - eight draws will not do it. But, hey, its looking a lot more optimistic than after the Oxford game.

I think 8 draws would do it. I dont thjnk 8 draws is relistic, we will lose some, so therefore have too win some, but I think 8 draws woukd be enough

I'd just like to say a massive well done to everyone involved today, the players, management and fans and the squirrels in the trees overlooking Roots Hall. All are beginning to put the pride back into being a Torquay fan again and all have played their part in ensuring we come away from another tricky game with a point. I'm not getting carried away as i feel some fans are taking the next 2 games too lightly. Chesterfield have really picked up and with todays 1-0 win at Oxford they now have a real shot at a play off spot, a few weeks back, many Chesterfield fans i spoke to had written them off. Now they have a renewed purpose and it will be tough. York could be anything which also worries me. They could turn up and whack us 3-0 or quite easily lose so i'm worried about that too if i'm honest and then we have Northampton away which is another toughie so we've still a lot of work to do. All we can do is take it a game at a time and see if anything happens like we begin accumulating more points than our rivals. I'm over the moon with a point anyway otherwise we'd be bottom. Full credit to Knill and Labadie and everyone today, and to all the fans who have travelled. They have seen 3 goals, drama and no defeats these last 2 games. The next away game is Northampton and i'm going............i think we can guess what will happen in that game then!

Sh*t hot today that, excellent.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
