All I'm going to say on this now is when every player is telling me he was the most technical player at the club it was only going to be a matter of time before he broke into the team. I'm just dissapointed it took so long. Now he doesn't look such a waste of money does he.

Cruise did not get to play for Arsenal unless he was pretty good.

Just think of all the players coming through the youth systems

He will get better and better with games under his belt.

Had a very long wait for his chance. Good luck to him..

Had a really effective game tonight. He is the future but Nicho can still contribute with support for his squad mate.

Tom Cruise put in a solid mature performance last night. Great run and overlap for the goal, topped off with a cross that Wayne Carlisle would have been proud of. Hung up in the six yard box for Labadie to finish. Sweet move!

He also sat in the second half, showing composure and ability to follow orders. We lost a bit of the threat down that side, but there's no point in being gung ho when you're 2-0 up.

Much as I love Nicho and everything he has done for the club, I'm afraid he must now pay backup to this young man.

Last thing, with the introduction of Cruise it is like we have 3 new players! Very pleased.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

Having derided Cruise for most of the season I feel that I must apologise. Was this the same player who looked so inept against Rochdale?
He was a revelation last night - he put one pass astray in injury time and that was the only time he wasted the ball all night. Brillliant play for the goal. The transformation is astonishing.

I think the problem has been that we quite simply haven't seen enough of him up to this point to judge him. Not only has he been, quite frankly ridiculously, underused all season but on the few occasions that he has come on and looked a little shaky, he has often ended up playing out of position. For example, in that Rochdale game, he played at Right Back if memory serves me right!

Played very well last night and has had the same sort of impact as the other "new" signings.

I just hope he can continue with this form until the end of the season and maybe earn himself another deal. That is if he wants it I suppose. I would imagine it very much depends on who is the Manager next season as to whether he stays or goes.

I have been constantly campaigning to have Nicco dropped for pretty much half the season. After watching last nights performance by Tom - I kind of feel vindicated. What an exciting prospect and a totally different player who seems to have all the attributes we are looking for. I just hope that he doesn't make a silly mistake any time soon as I fear he could be dropped pretty quick. You don't get on Arsenal's books for just nothing!
May not be the original, but I am the best 'TauntonGull' .... See I can do signatures too, coz I am a real boy!

To be fair Brucie, Cruise came on against Rochdale and was employed at right back. Nicholson of a few years ago would have looked crap if he'd been asked to do that.

For what it's worth, I thought TC was excellent last night, and it was like a new signing! Here's hoping for more of the same.
