Happy days indeed! He's also said that he's looking for a "squad of around 14-15 experienced league players and development ones around them" and that he's "hoping to re-sign Rene - but that he has had offers from elsewhere".

Happy enough with this. Will get a lot more playing time this year I would think.

Pleased about Cruise -think he will develop into a decent player-first choice at LB next year for me with Nico as back-up.

How refreshing is it to be in this position so early in the run up to next season? Early days I know but this does auger well for next year and if we can get Brass, all the better. Onward and upwards!!!

All good decisions so far. Halps has had long enough to get into the side and, since he hasn't managed it, he isn't going to. Cruise is an excellent player who will come into his own as the season goes on and he gets more game time. Ricey is the perfect number two, but for the want of an extra 10% ability (perhaps, I'm not the best person to ask about goalkeepers, although Royal likes him). Easton was fine as cover for a year, but his time has come. Macklin is similar to Halps, he's had long enough now and hasn't made it, although can consider himself a little unlucky given his injuries this term. Baker, I liked on the couple of occasions I saw him, but if he hasn't stepped up, then he needs to go.
If Rene has offers, he'll go, which, as I may have mentioned previously, doesn't bother me at all.
Provided he doesn't release Nathan Craig, I'll be pretty happy with the list.
That said, Leadbitter is a bit of a disappointment (although he was top of Simon Baker's 'do not like' [as a player] list), I thought he could have pressed on. Still, he's gone, to make way, hopefully, for a better quality replacement.

Keep 'em coming RG.

Matt.

This was Connor Wooldridge who is only a college apprentice. He is going uni next year so isn't part of the youth team. He is a referee so that's how I know him!

Same as you Matt on everything thus far although i don't much rate Nathan Craig like you do from what i've seen of him although admittedly played out of position most of the time. If he went it wouldn't be a disaster.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I think it would Austrian. I wish we would play Nathan more, and in his best position (NOT on the wing) He is the best creative player we have, and he can certainly pick a pass, IMHO.
