Admission prices for the game on 6 August seem to be amazingly cheap (£10 for adults, less for concessions, etc.). Is this the result of a guilty conscience on Swindon's part? If not, what's the catch?
It's the League Cup and they was someone to turn up?Gullscorer wrote:Admission prices for the game on 6 August seem to be amazingly cheap (£10 for adults, less for concessions, etc.). Is this the result of a guilty conscience on Swindon's part? If not, what's the catch?

Ha..Ha.. Should be worth making the trip. I back the Gulls to get at least a draw over the 90 minutes. Why not?!!

Is this game definitely on the 6th and is it definitely a tenner to get in? If so, where is the info to be found?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Sorry to bring this back to the top. (Anything to get away from player guessing games!)
Local papers up here in Wiltshire suggest that Paul Tisdale has been approached twice about the vacant managerial position with Swindon? Perhaps Kingsbridge Red can shed some light on it?
Surely they need to get someone in place before the season kicks off... then it might be a settlig in period and perhaps the Cup will be low priority for them.
Not heard anything from WMN or HE about their approach... perhaps Tis is looking for a fresh challenge?

On one hand I would expect Tisdale to leave for a bigger club, maybe in the Championship but given the length of time he has been up the road I guess he likes it down this way so maybe a small step up to another localish team is what he wants...

If you look at Greeks forum, they're having a good old moan about Tis, saying the style of football is boring. If they took up Matt's suggestion, they'd probably garrote Mr Ling within two hours !

Don't think that the new manager will be Tisdale myself. There is unlikely to be a new manager in place by the start of the season and the caretaker boss Mark Cooper may well be given the chance to impress - there certainly doesn't seem to be any urgency from the new board to appoint anybody.Bloggy wrote:Sorry to bring this back to the top.
