Well if it is a replay I think I have had a few mates from Southampton who have said they would come the replay if they can get in. Some of them would have come to the home league, but they are seeing some team up north at St Mary's.
Histon away. A game that'll long stick in the memory. Electric atmosphere, quality day. Pokes save will never be forgotten..Awayday wrote: I kept drumming through the half time at Histon away in the play off game. I thought I would be on my own, but everyone stuck around and joined in.
If you guys want to carry on singing through half time (which is a blinding idea) I am up for drumming.

Cheating gits, pitch had more sand than Brighton beach. Still, as quite rightly mentioned, THAT save will live on forever in the memories of those who were there. Had it been made in La Liga or the Premier League, they'd still show it now.

no, no, no tufcgull. The away leg.
I'd say 1000 TUFC (or maybe just under), constant singing, dreadful day, dreadful pitch (as Matt says), dreadful ground.
The sort of thing that epitomised non-league football - so glad we're out of there!

I went to Histon a few times as a neutral, it's saving grace was it's nosh. Truly excellent burgers could be had for a sheckle or two. Bested in our conference days by only Stevenage who, in the home end at least, sell footlong (maybe a little more) bacon, egg, sausage etc baguettes and they're only about £1.50, They're so good, I had TWO at the Stevenage v Port Vale FA Cup match from a couple of years ago.NickGull wrote:no, no, no tufcgull. say if we do win, i think it would be better if we got a team not as big as man utd, because then we have the chance to go on further, but IF we do get throught then i think we will most likely get a big team

It was one of those saves that was a goal celebration for us. Apart from the cr@p ground, cr@p conditions of the pitch and the squeaky bum time for the last 10 minutes of the game, that was an awesome day out. It's funny how at the time every single person in the conference league were saying how Histon shouldn't have even got to the play offs, and now look at them, well and truely glued to the bottom of the league, ready to go back to the conference north. Although I am gutted to see Lewes stuck at the bottom of the Conference South, that was a good away trip and we had a bit of fun with the home fans singing their songs for them.NickGull wrote: Histon away.
