I've watched all of them. As have many, many other posters on here. Universally, he has been regarded as the weakest of a team full of weak links. These are also people who know enough to spell his name correctly. I'll take their side, thanks.

We will have to agree to disagree, as you are must be an English teacher, i'll stick to football as Manse would be one of the first names on my team sheet Allan Knills and ALL PREVIOUS managers. If you've got a problem with Manse, knock the manager not the player as the manager picks the team.I would respect your views then. You will see that I have learnt to spell as the heading now thanks for that!ferrarilover wrote:I've watched all of them. As have many, many other posters on here. Mansell will always be involved in games due to the position he plays in so he doesn't really drift in and out of games. I also think he has been let down by some of the abject rubbish around him but to be fair he has been woefully ineffective in all 5 games I've seen. There are mitigating circumstances behind his poor form and as Knill is equally as ineffective at being able to pinpoint what then Manse will continue to be selected, continue to struggle and continue to get stick.
As with other players I think have quality and who I don't under normal circumstances should be dropped just because they are having a bad time like Hawley, it is Knill we should be looking at as to the reason why most of our players aren't performing as they should be. We have easily a mid table squad yet we look like a team of jellyfish. Bodin aside (as successive managers haven't been able to extracate the Premiership quality that is quite clearly in there
) it is Knill who is failing us all.
The team look up to the manager and although they have stiff necks they also have no response.
We may as well go for a double whammy and bring in a giraffe as Knills other assistant.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Typical of the 'it's not my fault' generation. If Manse is playing badly, that's manse's fault, not anyone else's.

Ok then, Manse is crap and the manager is crap too. There, I can't be wrong now can I? I've got at least one right.
Unbelievable

Bodin was shocking after Ling left but this season he's got his finger out but people always remember the bad games.AustrianAndyGull wrote:Mansell will always be involved in games due to the position he plays in so he doesn't really drift in and out of games. Thankyou Edd for a sensible question.EddUK12 wrote:So if the manager drops manse would you be saying knill is fantasic? As he has noticed poor form and dropped him?

I think Mansell has been poor and yes ultimately it is down to him the individual to be responsible for his own performances but I feel that he has been let down by others and the tactics of Knill. He has been paired with Harding first 6,7,8 games and Harding was atrocious leaving Mansell exposed. In addition the players around him to take the pressure off have been poor at retaining the ball. On top of this Mansell has to deal with the fact that Knill has boll*cksed up with the defensive cover therefore he must at the back of his mind feel a responsibility to try and support the back four and is trying to do so whilst playing alongside a million different partners like Lathrope, Craig, McCourt and whilst also trying to get the team going as captain and support the loanee and younger players.
This is 75% Knill's fault for not having a f*cking clue what the hell he is doing and 25% Manses fault for allowing external factors to affect his game instead of concentrating on what he is good at.
If I say both Knill and Manse are crap then I get no stick for having an opinion because it's either one or the other. God forbid I nail my colours to the mast either way.
Thanks Edd, didn't mean to be sarcastic but that was a very interesting question.

In addition for example Nico. He consistently failed to deal with what he had to on the pitch regardless of anything Knill or the other players did. It was obvious he was simply struggling to do his job and I commend Knill for dropping him. There were no extenuating circumstances regarding Nico's performances so he deserved to be dropped.

I hope I haven't flip-flopped between opinions?

I understand football is about opinions, however I must say this is probably the post I most disagree with in the history of me reading message boards.AustrianAndyGull wrote: Thankyou Edd for a sensible question.![]()

It's like it's everyone else's fault but Mansells. You've blamed Harding/Knill/Lathrope/mccort and Craig. You say the defense is exposed that's due to Mansel been at right wing some times and left back at others. He is everywhere but were he should be. I have to think if Mansel was dropped would harding Craig look much better!! I think so.

He is everywhere except where he should be, like everyone else then. That's part of the reason why we are struggling because Knill is happy for most players to go all over the shop. If Mansell is all over the place is it not up to Knill to look at this and address it is some way then?

I've not blamed Lathrope anyway. Damon is a decent player. Craig I've not blamed although he was dog awful at Burton and McCourt shouldn't be here. Harding yes because he is one dimensional and poor at that. I'm talking about the wingers like Chappell, Bodin, Azeez etc, they don't retain the ball enough and so it comes straight back.

Andy - I have to ask about your signature. Did Knill actually word for word say that because if not then you really cannot quote him in such a belittling way.
I remember him saying after the Mansfield game "It feels like a win. It was definitely a point gained and I think it might have been three if we kept 11 on the field"
If he did say "We got mullered but it actually felt like a win" then it’s fair game but if not then personally I think you attributing him with it is poor form.
