Thank you Nico. One of the best lefties I have seen at Plainmoor in 60 years following the Gulls.Good luck.

ferrarilover wrote:Separate the men, the service and the recent performances and you end up in a situation where you must thank the good men for their excellent service and lament that, perhaps, the relationship went on just one season too long, resulting in disappointing recent performances.

Taken as a whole, their service to the club has been wonderful, and they both certainly deserve our thanks and our gratitude for the role they each played in getting us back into the FL and keeping us there. Their part in taking us back down will, undoubtedly, smear those happy, full colour memories with a twinge of grey, but that's no reason to treat them harshly or without due respect.

Thanks to both for all they've done over the years. Let's just pretend that last year didn't happen and we'll part on ideal terms. Matt.
Matt - that's a great post  Both Lee and Kev have served our club well and are good professionals. They have suffered through having to play in a crap side lacking in motivation for the first half of the season and in my opinion, this had an adverse effect on their form. We can only assume the rumours are correct that Mansell is leaving as personally I think he would be okay playing in a side with a bit more than we had this season.

Nico will most likely retire due to his now poor name within football.

Mansel has a few Suitors. Dagenham/Luton/Cambridge if promoted. I sit back and await him signing the bottom line.

I am glad that Nico's contribution is acknowledged in the HE. He has been a great player for the Gulls. I wish him well.

I'm so pleased that the end has come for Nico. He was really struggling and it was the right time. Hopefully he can get fixed up with something he wants but I just want to thank him for his service and for being my favourite player. He played for Scarborough so he HAS to be! :~D

I'll always remember being behind a thunderbolt of his away at Kettering (we lost :-/ ) but it was an amazing strike.

Now he becomes a club legend.    :scarf:
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

True legend.
I will always remember him for his long throw ins in the conference years, which stopped during our league. 2 re-entry(why?) and that last minute free kick against Barnet which we won 1-0. But a legend for Torquay , I still feel he played a season too many

Nice 'farewell' interview with Kevin Nicholson on the OS. Very interestingly, he says that he believes he will be in the Gulls dugout as Manager within 10 years.

Decent interview, I thought. I think he is right about that 'team spirit' the team had during our last stint in the Conference. It was plain to see, as a supporter, and let's hope Hargreaves can go some way to emulating that. The rapid Knill-style short-term loans is the antipathy of creating that.
