Big thanks to Taxilady - a detailed report of how it was.
Being there wasn't an option for me so fantastic to know what was said and discussed.

Thanks to the utterly wonderful Taxi Lady for the write up. She's covered it at least as well as I could have done.

A positive evening overall. Some tempering of expectations for those daft enough to expect us to be bullying Eastleigh and others. Hector, Diamondgirl is right, it was the stupid question about lowering the admission prices to a tenner. **** Bartlett, absolute moron, got destroyed by the vastly superior Alex Rowe. I loved it.

Thanks to those on both sides of the table who attended and made it a fun night, and yes, I'm including the comedian who complained of having had no tea...

Matt.

Well, i've just watched it all, not bad, not bad. I'll give Mr Hargreaves his dues he's quite a good talker, not sure if I feel a bit better about things just yet, but lets just support the club next season, see what happens and hope for the best, ya never know.
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

Does anyone know when our pre-season training starts? Will be interested to see who these Trialists are.

I have to say that so far Chris has made the right noises. He will get the players going round the ground to thank the supporters. he will have more interaction with the fans. This is what makes a family, They players in turn will get to realise what it means to put on the yellow shirt. It will instill pride in their performance something I think some of them lost a bit last season. They lost confidence and thought many of the supporters were against them. But by opening up to us all they will gain the respect they need to perform better.
So far so good.

I agree. Chris will be good in building players confidence.
Over the years, the players who have the most respect from fans are those who made the effort with supporters, your likes of Martin Rice. It goes very long way to not only getting the crowd behind you, but also encouraging younger supporters to come along.

Agree too! Players with a crowd behind them will play with confidence, continue to make chances and take risks. Players with a crowd of critics behind them will be cautious if they make a mistake and play it safe- so building confidence and morale is a great thing on Hargreaves' part.
