The 'red card for denying a goal-scoring chance' law was relaxed about a year ago.

There is no way he would have been sent off for this. Most likely a yellow card for deliberate handball but even then I would have thought it was harsh.

And we are all entitled to express an alternative with reasoned arguement to back it up.

This Forum is sometimes referred to as the Kiddies Forum by the TFF lot which is not justified in my opinion. However, since the re-instatement of one particular self-opinionated individual, I feel the Forum has degenerated into the Nasty Forum. It has put me off logging in as often as I used to and I am not posting as frequently (some may think 'Thank god for that' !). I have also noticed that some other Forum members are not posting, or not posting as often. By and large, posters on here have always respected the views of others without responding in a confrontational manner and, thankfully, this is still mostly the case.

I'll give you two examples - both Forever Dave and SNW somehow were able to respond fairly and constructively to tufcyellowarmy's posting without finding it necessary to ask aggresively, in bold print, 'Whatever are you talking about?' or question his maths ability. In fact, there is an element of truth in TUFC's posting. Of course no teams are relegated in October, but we are now drifting into November. Of the six league games between now and the end of November, four are against sides below half way (Ebbsfleet tonight are just above half way). Only Sutton (away on Nov 21st) are in the top half dozen, and they have lost twice as many games as Ebbsfleet who have only lost two. We need to pick up points from these games because when we go into December, we're up against the likes of Tranmere (a) and Aldershot (h) where points won't be so easy to come by, although Eastleigh over the Christmas period could yield a few points as they seem to be struggling this season. After that, we're into January when if we're not clear of the bottom four, a relegation dogfight is very much on the cards.

Tonight's match - Ebbsflleet are very much the draw specialists in the league, having drawn 9 of their 16 games. I'm going for another draw tonight - by the 'Ray' score of 1 - 1. Although we need wins, a point tonight would be acceptable.

Personally I feel the forum is better with merse's contribution. So you don't like him, so what? If the forum only consisted of contributors who liked each other then it would descend into the sterile no mans land of the TFF forum were everbody is so **** nice to each other.

There is the ability to add someone to your foe list so that you don't have to read what they write although I don't know if it works with quotes etc, never felt the need to use that particular facility.

I rarely agree with Merse which I'm sure is reciprocated but it doesn't mean I don't value his contribution. He's a marmite poster for sure but that could apply to most of us at one time or another. I like tomo, he's never been slow to put me in my place on occasion and I imagine others share his view so the solution would seem to be to use the foe tab to aid your enjoyment of the forum. Better that than to avoid the forum and deprive us of your input.

Everyone has a right to say whatever they want on this forum. If not then it becomes predictable and boring. I actually enjoy reading posts from everyone and digesting it. Merse makes a lot of points that i find interesting and I enjoy them. Along with all the others it helps shape my views sometimes when you take it all in

SNW did respond to being called out on his embarrassing homophobic calls at games with "Lighten up, pal", so.

I'm sorry to say that all the internet research suggests that Faggots are a Midlands and latterly Welsh dish.
I can't argue with the fact that they are tasty with gravy however mushy peas are the fodder of our brethren situated on a more northerly latitude aren't they ? ( I'm not really 100%sure)
