Song

Post by gullno4 »

Please could somebody put up the words to the song that goes along the lines of ' and that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it

Need to teach them to my cousin for the Wycombe game, not 100% sure on the words to the song :slap: :red:

Thanks in advance! :-D

And that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it
***ooooo-oooo***
That's the way aha,aha we like it, aha,aha
That's the way aha,aha we like it, aha,aha
ooooooooo-Sankt Pauli
ooooooooo-Sankt Paul

I've always loved this chant, substituting St Pauli with "The Torquay" works great for me. It's one of those chants that has to be done in total unison to work though so would need working on to sound really effective. Would be a fantastic anthem for us IMHO.

Agree totally with Dave and Walshy, this is a fecking brilliant chant and it needs adopting immediately. If only we could get the 150 people that St Pauli get to sing it in total unison.

Between this and the 'Goodbye whores' song, I could happily sing for 90 mins.

F@cking hate it, Stevenage have been doing it for a while now and they are getting quite good.
It is one of those chants that either everyone joins in on or we don't do it at all.
I for one will not join in!

I would rather do what Celtic do with the Depeche Mode song and find something for us, rather than keep jumping on the same old band wagon of other clubs.

Considering some of the Branston efforts you were coming up with you can sing or find your drumsticks being forced into your body orifices very swiftly.

Well if no one else is going to start the chants then you will have to put up with the Back Step Army Branston Appreciation Chants :scarf:

I know it's come up in the past, but we really do need an anthem or a chant distinctive to us. Maybe a thread could be started on here where we can post ideas and suggestions.

To be honest, I love this song. We had everyone bouncing and singing it on saturday, so what harm can a positive song like this do?

Everywhere we go,
everywhere we gooooo,
people wanna knowww,
people wanna know,
who we are,
who we are,
where we come from,
where we come from,
this is what we tell them,
this is what we tell them,
we're from torquay,
we're from torquay,
we're the yellow army,
we're the yellow army,
yellow army,
yellow army,
yellow army,
etc.

I think that's a longer version of what is currently being chanted, but I've forgotten what our current one is. :|

I think this is the better version. 'Everywhere we go' and 'people wanna know' rhyme and make sense, so I don't know where 'people always ask us' fits in.

Although it's a great song and we should DEFINATELY sing it at United, isn't it another song other teams sing?
