Every worldy goal is great to watch & Jamie's on Saturday was for sure a special moment & it'll live long in my memory for a long long time.
However nothing will ever live as long or be as special as Ray Bishops volley vs Sheff wed in the '82 fa cup at a raucous plainmoor including myself, a wide eyed 14 yr old, & 7000 + fans.

Yep that was a beauty - recap we lost 2-3? We had a good young pro at centre half if my memory serves me right??

I've been wrecking my brains ever since you mentioned about the young centre half & it's dawned on me that you were more than likely thinking of Frank Sheridan signed from Derby county that season who I think may have suffered a very serious injury, ruptured spleen or pancreas or similar ? And unfortunately was never the same after that injury & his career faded out, good player though.
