FA Trophy 3rd Round. Saturday 9th December 2023.
The draw for the FA Trophy Third round takes place at 3.15pm this afternoon. I think it is on Talk Sport. The draw is NOT regionalised, so if we are really unlucky we could get Gateshead away. However my preference is for a home tie against anyone.
Ultimately, I am not bothered about this competition, the league is our priority.
If anyone heard the draw please post on here. Many thanks.

How ludicrous that it isnt regionalised
I wasn’t bothered about the Yeovil game but it was the best game of the season.

I was saying last week that I'd actually prefer if we just didn't bother to play it - but then we went and looked actually rather competent. So maybe that performance can help us kick on. I've only seen the highlights, but Dolan looks a real find. Da Silva seemed decent too (I've been very harsh on him ever since he joined; 'no end product!'). And even Dylan Crowe did some things that looked good in the highlights!Yellow6 wrote: 20 Nov 2023, 14:23 I wasn’t bothered about the Yeovil game but it was the best game of the season.
entirely pointless if we now go and lose at Dartford on Saturday - and of course it probably wasn't Yeovil's best side - but it was nice to deserve to win a game, and then actually do it.

Frome Town away
Probably wasnt Yeovils best side - they had 7 first teamers out

I don't think the draw was regionalised in the end.
Interesting away tie v Frome - they beat Worthing last round. I wonder if it was their full-strength team though.
An opportunity to progress!

Still. Winning a game is better than not winning a game, even if it is in a competition that nobody ever cares about until they accidentally find themselves in the semi-final. Like the Europa Conference League

I just watched the Highlights of Frome v Worthing which Frome won on Pens 4-3 after the Match ended 2-2 with Worthing scoring with the last kick in the 95th minute.
Frome have an amazing Home Record of winning 9 games out of 10 at Home in Cup Games against higher ranked teams.
Pitch loked like Grass and not Astro Turf which is good news.

Definitely grass, even though it resembles the green stuff my herd of cattle chew the cud on.
