October 12th Match.
On Sat 5th Oct United are away to Hampton & Richmond.
On October 12th we are scheduled to play Maidstone at Home but the Stones will be playing in the 4th Qualifying Round of the F A Cup.
Looking at yesterdays F A Cup Results I wonder if we could play Salisbury at Plainmoor bringing forward next March's Fixture listed for Tuesday 11th March at 19.45pm.
Lots of advantages to both Clubs in my opinion of playing on a Saturday.
No doubt this matter is Top of the Agenda at Plainmoor tomorrow?

That is annoying - was planning to come to this one. Hoping we can get a replacement game on and agree it makes total sense for us and another club to get a game on a Saturday instead of a midweek! Hope this can be sorted!

Before the St Albans game PW confirmed in his pre match conference they would look to move a game if Maidstone progressed

UnitedinDevon I was aware of what Paul Wotton said so that is why I am hopeful that a Match will be rearranged with Salisbury probably.
I guess we will know in the next 48 hours.

Should they lose their replay with Chippenham on Tuesday the Weston game scheduled for November 26th would be a possibility too.
Or Salisbury move their home fixture with us from Bonfire night to the 12th. Not a great night for attendances i would have thought.

That would certainly boost their gate as more Torquay fans would get there on a Saturday.but guess we would prefer a home game as would be 4 and a half weeks without one otherwise

I do not think clubs can put fixtures back but can with the leagues permission bring them forward. Bringing WSM forward would leave a long gap without a home game.numpte wrote: 30 Sep 2024, 10:18 Or Salisbury move their home fixture with us from Bonfire night to the 12th. Chelmsford have been drawn away to Barnet (top of National League, so probably the hardest fixture they could get) in the next round of the FA Cup, so hopefully they will lose and our game on 2nd November can go ahead.

So we won’t be able to rearrange a Salisbury game for 12/10 :-

Matt Carson will now be unavailable on 12/10 due to an international call up, well deserved and congratulations to him. We already have a few out with injuries, so a blank Saturday might be a blessing after all.

Numptes post was misread, I thought the 12th was November but of course it is actually October! So it would be brought forward and NOT back. Sorry I did not read it correctly. Therefore Salisbury CAN (with the agreement of the league and themselves) play on 12th OCTOBER.North Curry House wrote: 30 Sep 2024, 19:18 I do not think clubs can put fixtures back but can with the leagues permission bring them forward. I must be a Numpte too.
