Not saying you're wrong about Hasanis work rate but can't say I noticed it particularly. I really like him, he makes things happen, got a great eye for a pass and he shoots ! and has a great strike on him, that was a superb finish for his goal. I'd start him every time ahead of Mussa who is so frustrating, holds on to the ball far too long and tries to beat his man twice , then gets dispossessed !
Great game and performance last night though
thought Weston ran out of steam and our fitness was better, think Truro are better but fancy Dorking for the league if it's not us !

Their second goal would have been disallowed by many refs for a foul on the keeper.
Thought lasts nights ref was a showman who thought we'd all turned up to see him

Got to disagree with the comments about Hasani and his work rate - he was really good first half, harrying for the ball, good link up play and an excellent goal. Been impressed at most games I have seen him

I have no arguement with his talent but his work rate is poor , he is not strong enough to fight for the ball in this league and perhaps due to his talent he beleves he has the right to play with freedom and not get clogged all the time. I believe if can overcome these deficiiences he may still become a fans favourite, while there is no other option I agree he starts ahead of mussa.

Does anybody know after the Hasani goal why the ref went over to the Lino on the Popside …. The opposite end to where the goal was scored ?
And then call the 2 captains together for a chat ?

I thought it was possibly due to the weather conditions risking completion of the game. It didn't look like there was any specific beef between players or managers. I asked someone that works at the club and it was apparently due to a homophobic insult heard from the Popside (aimed at I don't know who - lino, maybe). The steward made a representation to the ref and he advised the two managers. Not sure what either could do about it, but perhaps if against an official, it risks a sanction?

Great highlights to watch!

Without sounding like a moaning old git, I’ve never liked the knee sliding when players score, get it wrong and it’s an injury waiting to happen! Also, the pitch looked to be holding up pretty well, but you can see the damage done by the knee slides! PW, have a word, no (k)need for it!

Well if you were at Plainmoor last night that was the Match of the Season by a mile. Fantastic game and a great turn out in horrible conditions.

Last night WJD played in a more advanced role in my opinion and the way he scored the second goal showed his class because it was a difficult chance perfectly taken.

Cody Cooke deserves so much credit for his second half performance with 2 excellent goals which shook WSM to the point were despite us having 10 men after 48 minutes we played superbly and Weston just could not match our run rate, desire, fitness and fighting spirit.

It was one of those special nights under the lights which will be long remembered. Well done to Paul Wotton, Mike Edwards and all the Squad for a fantastic performance. COYY.

As a groundsman at a school, those knee slides would drive me mad, 6ft of turf to repair and he did it twice right next to each other!
The pitch held up well, hopefully the weather is kind for the two cup matches and it stays in decent condition.

I actually think Hassani has a good work rate, he does love a good sliding tackle though.

A word for the ref as I thought he was decent, he let things go in the first half because of the conditions, unfortunately Hassani gave him little choice, I thought their players tackle later was only a yellow as well, he also got the pen spot on.

I hope yesterday’s style of play is the way we are going forward and not just used as we were playing Weston, it’s much easier on the eye and obviously we created a lot of opportunities with it.

What a great match to watch. Both sides looking to play football in very poor conditions. Despite my initial thoughts we would be playing hoofball, it was great to see playing on the ground, to feet and speed of movement. Just shows we have the skills to pass and move as well as find space in midfield to be able to pull defences apart. Thought WSM's use of balls straight down the middle in the first half caused us a lot of problems but the workrate kept it pretty well managed. Have to agree with Taelee that I thought the ref had a pretty good match, letting play carry on most of the time. Think he was too quick with the red card and didn't seem to apply that to the similar tackle by WSM in the second half but nevertheless helped make it an exciting match to watch. Tremendous organisation of midfield and defence in the second half when down to ten men with WSM having no real idea how to break this down, then fast attacks bringing the two goals. Hopefully a good lesson for the team as to how quick and precise use of the ball gets opportunities so feeling very positive about Saturday.
