Is anyone aware of the FA Trophy appeal results from Tonbridge Angels and Gosport Borough.

18th December - The Tonbridge Angels website confirms they are seeking clarification from the FA, Nothing further since!
18th December - The Gosport Borough website also confirms clarification is sort, again nothing since!
Against this, the Worthing website lists they playing us on 4th January, but no ticket information if available.

Completely agree with you on that. We've been non-league for 10 years now and have spent 3 of those years in regional football. The FA Trophy represents a chance of glory. Those saying we need to concentrate on the league should note that a number of teams have won both promotion and the Trophy in the same season; good teams are able to sustain a cup run and do well in the league.

The Suits that decide these things aren't even meeting until 2nd January, leaving all those concerned in total limbo meanwhile.

Farcical but so typical of the way they operate and the contempt they show towards the clubs and their supporters,

To some clubs it matters, but that's fine, if it's really of no interest to you, I guess you'll be sending your youth team up then 👍🏻

It's nothing to do with arrogance towards so called lesser clubs, what a load of nonsense!

I'd be happy if we used our Women's team in this competition, but no, we have to put our first team out virtually every time we play in this bloody competition! Which means more chance for injury and an extra mid-week game!

I mentioned that our neighbouring clubs fans look upon Torquay fans as not being the sharpest knives in the drawer, but I tend to look upon them as being related to Oliver the Humanzee!

I am informed this morning, that Worthing are also included in the appeal. Highlighting, they sound remain re-instated and not need to play Tonbridge Angels. Fun times!

If so we'd have a bleedin' cheek to look the gift horse of a reprieve in the mouth by querying any appeal decision. We were knocked out fair and square, so if we have to play Tonbridge before Torquay that's better than the nothing we had.

It's Monday and we're talking about a game that's supposed to be happening on Saturday!! If they decide tomorrow that it's us v Tonbridge on Saturday instead, Angels could justifiably argue that as a part time club there are no training sessions possible ahead of it for them to prepare.

You can easily see a set of events where no game at all happens on Saturday.

If they wanted to lower the price it would have to be agreed with the visiting team because cup-tie receipts are shared. Maybe Torquay didn't agree to a reduction.
