I think we need to wait for VAR to make their decision.
So I did. I didn't realise I had done that. I had forgotten I had already made a prediction. Damn.United62 wrote: 14 Apr 2025, 08:34 And, finally, commiserations to Vick who changed is 2-0 prediction 4 days later to 1-0 and dipped out on 2 extra points.

Congrats to numpte, UnitedinDevon, MellowYellow, MoxGull2502 and PainInTheGULLiver85 who all went for a 0-1 away win and came away with 3 points apiece.
....and we have new leaders! Both numpte's and UnitedinDevon's predicitions catapult them into joint top spot with just two games to go.
Very tight at the top (still) with - by my reckoning (which isn't always accurate) at least 26 players can still get the coveted top spot on the final day. Some will look at the table and go 'err, only those on 28+ can win it'.... ahh, but here's the twist.... the final day away at Hemel will be worth DOUBLE POINTS... yep, 6 for a correct score and 2 for a correct result. So westbaygulls dream is still on ... as long as no-one else scores any points in the next two games! .

As close as the league!
I've done myself slightly by missing a fair few predictions over the season

The penultimate game of the season ... and congrats to numpte, leetufc, Midland Gull, Brewers Boy, Fozziefan, TUFC67, SuperNickyWroe and MoxGull2502 who all predicted the 3-0 home win over Weymouth.
numpte now takes a two point lead into the final game of the season. But.... remember.... next week is double points so still all to play for (for some anyway!).

Congrats to UnitedinDevon, Brixham63, portugull and ministander who all predicted the 1-4 away at Hemel yesterday.
So, what does this mean for the final table?
*Drum Roll*
In 3rd place on 38 points (despite Mussa failing him miserably by not hitting the target) goes to.....
Brixham63
In 2nd place on 39 points goes to last week's leader (would have won it if we'd been predicting the Truro score v St Albans gamew) goes to...
numpte
...and, to conclude this season's Prediction League, everyone put your hands together for.... (tense isn't it!)... wait for it... with an impressive last day peformance to take them to a staggering 41 points .... iiiiiitttttttt's.... Prediction League Champion 2024/25....
UnitedinDevon
Now over to Louis to present the prizes (if there are any, not sure - see opening post)... but surely the honour of being Prediction League Champion 2024/25 should be reward enough!
Thanks all for taking part... see you all next season!
Oh, and if anyone cares, here's the final table:

Congrats to UnitedinDevon for claiming the title.
As the above post, thank you United62 for running this and unveiling a competitive streak I never knew I had
And also, without wanting to turn this into an Oscars acceptance speech, mahoosive thanks to all the admins for running this place for another season. Much appreciated

Thanks for doing this during the season United62, great job
it's made up for my poor fantasy premier league performance this year!
Id have rather a few more goals yesterday but I'll take the title!

Well done United in Devon on doing what Torquay couldn't quite achieve...coming from behind on the last day to win the title.
Thank you United 62 for running the comp, I hope you enjoyed it and will continue next season. I hope to improve.
