I have absolutely NO interest in women's football at all and will NOT be attending any games therefore I do not expect to be forced to psy for something I do not want.
It is poorly thought out and needs changing and FAST, otherwise all the goodwill from last season will be lost.
PLEASE Michael & Mark have a rethink, the fans have backed you up to now but this not going to win you any support. I can see ST sales and attendances falling.
It is like Tesco's saying you have to buy bacon and eggs....we no longer sell bacon by it's self - Pathetic! Financial suicide.

Since the last price increase 4 years ago, having been frozen ever since, in 11 of those 12 price groups the price today after the rise is lower than the 2021 price plus inflation.
This to me this is the salient point. Inflation erodes the purchasing power of money over time, So based on inflation over last 4 years if you paid for a £20 ticket in 2021 that same ticket ought to cost you £24.40p in today prices
So with this in mind, pay up and enjoy - we have our club back!
PS. as for the NCH Tesco bacon and egg theory - may I remind that eggs in 2021 were 86p per dozen and have now increased by a whopping 52% to 143p per dozen. Who amongst you have stopped eating eggs - I thought not!
Also, if anyone's mind is closed to womens football then surely just assess the season ticket package value ignoring that element? If you decide it's too expensive then so be it but it's nowt to do with the women's team. The Bryn consortium are not going to be dragging you to the ground by your heels on womens match days!!

They aren’t putting the prices up because they are giving access to the women’s football. They are putting prices up as that need to get more revenue and as part of that decision having been trying to find ways to provide more value to season ticket holders that doesn’t cost the club more money.
Fine it’s not interesting for everyone, but as other posters have said they aren’t making you go to the women’s games, it’s simply an additional option.
I get the need for more revenue, however I do think the increases are steep. I think they'd have been better off offering a standard season ticket at a reduced price and then also the Plainmoor Pass for those that wanted the additional benefit it gives you, which I'm not against however it's not something that we'd have time to make the most of as a family.
We were first time season ticket holders last year, family of 4 happy sitting in the family stand, we all loved it and were excited to go again next season. Last season it cost us £475, which admittedly was a bit of a bargain, this year it's going to cost us £796, an increase of £321, or 67%. Honestly as it stands I don't think we'll be season ticket holders again for the 25/26 season, we just didn't think it'd be that much of a jump up in price.
67% increase, whichever way you look at it, is too much and it's too short notice, even spreading the cost out over 3 months (why not offer longer terms?). Gutted is an understatement, I do believe that attendances and revenue will be down for them this year, which goes against what they're trying to achieve with the Plainmoor Pass.

The price of a standard adult season ticket in the Family Stand has increased by 10.8%. The prices for children' under 14 Family Stand tickets has actually fallen.
Are you sure you're not comparing a half-season ticket with a full one?

Thanks for the reply Last season they offered a discounted family season ticket for 2 x adults and 2 x u12's in the family stand for £475. While obviously what I posted isn't a direct comparison because they don't offer a family ticket any more, it is a direct comparison of how much more it'll cost us to go this year, a jump of 67%. They will have priced a lot of families out of going this year with this increase and I'm surprised more people haven't been shouting about it.
I get all the arguments for it costing more, I'm not against some increase, however the jump for extra things like friendlies, women's football etc that not everyone will either want or be able to make use of with the Plainmoor Pass is too much. Why not just offer another tier which is a standard season ticket? We were invested in the club last year, we spent money on shirts, spent money on match days on food for the kids, spent time in Boots and Laces for away games, but now we'll be forced to going back to going to the odd few matches this season because we can't find that extra money this month, it was much more than we were expecting and as a direct result the club have lost the attendance and revenue that we brought last season. It's a crazy decision for me, in premise the Plainmoor Pass is a good extra offering, but it should be a choice, not the only option.
Sammy - I believe the discounted family ticket was £575 last season not £475 and was limited in number. Granted that is still a fairly substantial increase.
Contact the club, explain the situation - maybe they have overlooked the substantial increase in this specific case

Cheers, I might reach out and see if they'll do anything but I think it's unlikely as we've already asked if they're planning on doing a family ticket this season and they've said no. Definitely £475, early bird price, you can still see it here https://torquayunited.com/2024-25-seaso ... angements/.
I hope they review the whole ticketing for this season, either way fingers crossed we do well and they still get decent attendances, I just can't see them being as high as last season.
Sammy C, I feel your pain. I posted this earlier on in this thread that there has been the removal of family season tickets which in your case (and you won't be the only family) will price you out of attending as a ST holder. 67% increase is too much.
Unfortunately, I cannot attend week in week out with my girl so we come as often as we can since she has been born. Our joint ticket admission over 2 seasons has gone up 75% from £20 to £35 in Bristows. Bottom line is we also won't be attending as often as liked as I cannot afford to. It's a shame, but the biggest hikes in prices are hitting families hard, the next generation of fans, the future of the club. I think it's too much of a hike, we shall see in attendances over a season but I'm disappointed in the new owners (for the first time mind) targeting families by forcing them into one area of the ground or stump up the considerable extra cash just at a time my girl is really getting into it.
I work at a primary school so get to chat to the kids that are Torquay supporters, one I spoke to yesterday said his dad will be renewing their ST in Bristows at the high new cost as they want to keep sitting there, his dads not happy about it but just doesn’t want to move. So I guess the club makes more money but they won’t get their wish to have all kids out of the Bench.
I sit there and I like the fact we have younger supporters, us middle aged ones and the older ones, while the teenagers, twentie somethings and more vocal ones stand in the Pop side. Just let people watch a game where they want to.
As a side note, please stop singing “stand up if you love Torquay”, my backs bad enough already and standing up, sitting down just makes it worse!

They are £3.00 for half a dozen in the coop! Where do you get your eggs from? Wife wants to know.
