It was special because everything about him physically and then technically made you think he would never hit the crossbar. He was in total shock after, bless him.

For those of us who didn't go, how far was he from the net and why did he look like he couldn't hit a barn door?

Because he was v small and had to attempt from the edge of the box. You thought as he walked up, no chance, not going to get anywhere near it.

Champagne moment!!

Tremendous moment.......the whole ground erupted, even the subs from both sides applauded.

They moved the ball forward to the penalty spot but even then, you thought....no chance he's too small!

He gave the shot everything and it fairly thudded off the bar.......500 smackers - very nice!
....aka jmgull.

Awesome, I'm guessing he was a very small kid then.

They even mentioned it on the radio, right in the middle of summing up the first half!

Laughed my socks off. He looked to be knee high to a grasshopper and the bloke with the mike obviously thought he would have problems reaching the goal line so moved it forward to the penalty spot. The lad wellied it nicely and smacked the bar with his first attempt. The place erupted :)

I'm just gutted it's back to £25 now. Still, he put me into shock, couldn't believe it.
