Another humping 5-1 bring on the BSP more our level with the players, manager and budget. Putting us and Hereford on relegation fodder after Buckle managed to dismantle a good squad and Ling replacing them with useless fools!!! At least we should get a few quid for the few quality players we have but knowing the board we will just give them away :whip: </3 </3 :slap:

Will be there today with my dad and a couple friends from work. Other Southend-supporting friends will be in their end. I must say I don't hold out a lot of hope for a win but I'd feel pleased with a draw. Last year, we went to this fixture as div. 2 leaders and as the only team, other than Chelsea, with a 100% record in all leagues - and I reckon I'd bandied that about at work quite a lot. And I was duly made to eat humble pie after a pretty dismal performance. This year, it's the southend supporters who are crowing about their supremacy, while I've kept my head down. Maybe it's their turn for a slice of that pie? I can but hope! Fantasy prediction: Taiwo silences the critics with an imperious display and an unanswered hat-trick ; honest prediction: 3-1 them :P . Up the Gulls!

Looking at the players warming up, it looks like the only change is Atieno drops to the bench for Ellis to come in. So I reckon that means Robbo right back, Ellis centre back, and Oastler as the holding midfielder behind Stevens, Mansell, O'kane and Bodin (or Oastler in with Mansell and O'kane playing off Howe, you know what I mean anyway!)

I Think we will scrap a 1-1 draw (hopefully)
kbgull spot on with the starting eleven .

Afternoon everyone. Is this the same place where we won promotion just a few years ago? Sounds dreadfull. No crowd noise, crap commo. On the plus side we are still level. Got to be honest i still don't like the look of our back four, don't know what the answer is but it looks vunerable to me.
