Taiwoeful and Mcphee, Swindon must be well worried about them. Oxford will probably be a draw but there is very little chance of victory at Argyle now as needed Howe there. They will be pissing themselves knowing he isnt playing, with them having 10k plus there the best we can hope for is a draw there.
Thanks Rene ruined our xmas games.........
If anyone is walking on Beechy Head tonight and comes across a guy in a yellow shirt, it'll be ^^^^^ him.
Your post suggests Plymouth are a more frightening prospect that Oxford, are you insane?

Calm down and just breathe............NOW with Howe out for those 3 games, it leaves us with a tricky predicament but it does not mean that we are DOOMED when we play Swindon, Oxford and Argyle. Swindon will be the toughest game because not only do we not have Howe, but we don't have Bodin. But we do have a chance even though those two players are going to be out. From Jeff's report it seems that Atieno had a pretty good game today and even though I'm not a big fan of Tai's, I think we should still give him a go to see if he can improve. Danny had a shaky start to the season, but Ling dropped him for a while, and then brought him back in and he hasn't stopped performing. I hope that happens to Atieno and I'll be in the stands cheering him on from start to finish (even if I'm not the biggest fan). I'd thought because we have Manse, O'Kane and Lathrope in the central midfield Morris can replace Bodin on Boxing Day. Obviously that makes us not as strong as we can be, but when players get sent off and players are out because of loan deals, managers have to deal with situations like this and try and make a starting formation as strong as can be with the players he has got remaining. Us as fans must go to each game in full voice and support for the team even though we will have players away!
After four years of Buckle, and him making it sound like he'd been at a different game to what I'd seen when we'd played poorly, what a refreshing interview.
Cannot argue with anything that Ling said. I hope he's let the players know what he thinks, and gets a reaction out of them over the festive period.
Bristol Rovers lost 4-1 at Gillingham, whose manager said Gillingham are a passing team, which presumably makes Rovers a pissing team (certainly around the corner flags)!!! =D
Someone may of seen it better than me but from where I was in the ground theres not a chance that was a sending off for Howe. Looked to me like there player went to tackle Howe made a hash of it and got a knock himself for attempting a silly tackle. I'll have to have a look on the FL Show tonight to have a better look at it. But most of the people around me seemed to think a straight red was harsh....It would of been if the Accy player had been involved aswell.
On the whole we were very poor though which seems we always save our worst performances for Accrington away...Which is still a dive.
Anyone making excuses for yesterday such as "we always lose to Accrington", "its a shit hole", "its cold" or anything else really is talking rubbish. The fact that the manager saw it the same way doesn't excuse the peformance anyway.
It sounded like abject surrender from start to finish.
Howe pulling the old pros trick so he could get the xmas and new year off is equally appalling.
Having watched the Barnet game I was impressed with Howe in the second half but in all honesty I am not sure about the formations we play - Howe seems completely isolated and most times the ball seems to come straight back when it goes forward - possibly a reason why we seemed to be under pressure most of the time.
Its a big loss though especially for the Plymouth match and points could be thin on the ground over the coming couple of weeks.
I heard the term 'southern softies' on the radio. Could be a grain of truth in it. Perhaps the lads froze in the cold weather. They're not used to it. The Torbay climate is too mild. Maybe if they trained in the heart of Dartmoor to get them toughened up, it would stand them in good stead for the cold winter games. Or get out the thick socks, gloves and balaclavas, longjohns and woolly underwear..

Glad you said that, to me the ball seemed free and the tackle wasn't directed at the player. Another ref recting to the crowd IMO. Ref sent him off for studs showing apprently,
Just seen the highlights (or lowlights) of yesterday's game and IMO I think it was a red card for Howe. Rene was obviously going for the ball, but as Winnard nicked the ball out for a throw in it seemed that it was a bit of a stamp from Howe. Dean Winnard's reaction made it look like a straight red, even if the ref wasn't 100% sure!
I also thought, what was the ref doing stopping the play to give his 2nd red card of the game to Luke Joyce, when O'Kane and Atieno were running up the field which could of led to an equalising goal! Whatever Joyce did it couldn't have been a straight red card surely? Maybe someone who went to the game elaborate on that.
Anyway we never do well at Accrington, onwards and upwards to Boxing Day!

Exactly what I said, the ball had gone, stamped on the lad. Another petulant act from Howe unfortunately.
Also I'm very worried about these next 3 big games though, Swindon without Howe or Bodin, Oxford and Plymouth without Howe. 3 key games and we've practically no attacking threat.
I'm sure the Swindon backline are bricking themselves...
