You can all sod off, it's Saints or nowhere. I want to be able to watch him grow into a full international class player

Wherever he goes, I'm not too worried. There are two things I definitely want though:-
1. Decent money for him. Not the usual tripe we get for players but at least £300k, if Benyon is worth £125k, Eunan is far beyond that.
2. A mid table Championship side, one with no realistic chance of promotion or relegation this season.
If he goes to someone like West Ham, who are likely to get promoted, I can't see him getting into their Premiership team. Relegation would not be quite so bad, as long as it's a club with a realistic chance of being promoted again. He needs game time at whichever club he goes to and a future Premiership club are unlikely to give him that.

See Camb, you can be right... sometimes.
Absolutely accurate. His level is the Championship and he needs time to develop if he is to go any further than that and not regress. To shunt him too far up the second tier now would be akin to taking the U-11 karting champion and dropping him into an F1GP. That said, he would definitely be better off at a top L1 side than a poor Championship side, since the latter will probably not play the type of football which will suit Eunan.
Having seen Saints (likely Championship Champions) and Sheff Utd (likely Championship mid-tablers next year) pass the ball around with pace and accuracy against decent L2 opposition (us), I can really see EoK fitting in and doing well higher up the pyramid. Given that he already looks to have three times as much time on the ball as everyone else in our division, I can only wonder what he'd look like given the actual amount of time he'll be afforded in the upper echelons.
Anyone else think we might get lucky and sell him in January with a loan deal to the end of the season included?
Matt.

Yep i do, said it a few times on here, i can not see a Championship club buying him and putting Eunan straight into there first team.ferrarilover wrote:See Camb, you can be right... sometimes.

It makes total sense , for O'Kane to comtinue his development in our first team rather than played Championship reserve football.

As long as we get good money for him it should be good, wherever he goes, im sure he'll do well, and it can only benefit us if we get a good 300k, 300k can buy us some good players. Although it depends whether the money goes into the team budget or not.

Reading, Derby, Cardiff and Charlton are correct. All have been keeping a close eye on him with serious intrest. I know Derby spoke to us about him last jan and the summer. The others also spoke to the club recently about him.
The last one is a side in blue from the Championship.
